Great bowling performance there, fielding was brilliant as well. Flintoff could be in for the final as well!

Kohli was a proper disappointment from that Indian team (belated but I thought I'd posted it at the time).

For the two people interested I'll be more in depth now:
Flintoff was so so close to that fairytale win at the end, wanted the Bears to win all day but was cheering Lancs on at the end for him haha. North winner either way so that's good, especially when all the Southern based Sky pundits said the South group was by far the stronger. Funny that. Chris Woakes' last over was incredible death bowling, just what they needed too. Reckon they should probably have been penalised for time but that's no way to win a final, wouldn't have been happy with that at all.
Long story short, good day, needed more Notts, Hampshire are dicks.

Fucking amazing haha, whenever Flintoff did anything the place went mental, even with a largely Birmingham supporting crowd. I'd probably have sold my tickets if I'd been asked a week ago like, considering Notts lost in the quarters AGAIN, but I'll go again next year regardless haha.

I'm just glad we got to see Freddie again, his wicket off the first ball and his shots at the end were brilliant. Don't get the decision about the time penalty though, sure it was only 30 seconds over the limit but it was still over. Would've been a weird way to win though.

Hales in for the ODI's, about fucking time. He's blocked me on twitter, my claim to fame that. Also, I agree he deserves a chance, but those who say he deserves to play tests are so so wrong it's not even funny. He's had a cracking season for us in the CC this year granted but he's not ready for Test Cricket. He's a pro at bullying poor bowlers and doing alright against the good ones, and in Test Cricket that won't cut it. He'll get there if he continues to adapt himself as he has this year but he needs work. Taylor's far more Test-ready than him, and arguably as one day ready too. That hundred vs Middlesex is the best thing I've ever seen in my lifetime.

Haha what caused that?
Don't think Taylor will ever get his chance tbh, seems to constantly be overlooked. And I wouldn't mind Hales as a David Warner type opener, always a gamble but always worth watching.

I wouldn't have really have gone for solely for Freddie but by the amount I'd have drunk by that point I probably would've been loving it as well. Glad Bears managed it. I saw them against Leicestershie a few weeks ago and they demolished them.

He has a girlfriend, he got with one of my mates, I tweeted about not knowing he was in full on "shit what have I done?" mode, he blocked me. I think. I always stuck by him and defended him on Twitter last year after he got another 0 in the Championship so I think that's why.
I'm not particularly fussed about Taylor not getting called up cos we need him so badly at the moment, but it's a travesty if he doesn't get an elongated England career. They say he's too small, Samit's too overweight, Hales is too aggressive, but we're still almost top of the Division and qualified from both shorter format comps, having the best overall season in the country so we can't be that bad... Big counties bias is real.
Hales isn't really like that really though imo. Punishes tiring attacks and 3rd change bowlers to massage his strike rate, but Warner scores quick against everyone. I see the comparison and it's not "Wrong" but I wouldn't entirely say he's that mould of player if you get what I mean. Hales will often be 10 from 30/40 balls, then accelerate to 80 from 90 because their worst bowler's taken a pounding from him.

I was so torn in the final, love Laurie Evans for his attitude when you lot beat us at Trent Bridge, such a nice lad, having banter with the crowd and then applauding us lot after he won you the game was a quality touch. But then there's Freddie... haha.
