Tbf any one of the top ten aside from the classic 'big four' are interchangeable given form and surface.
I thought this'd be Novak's best chance to complete his slam and then he goes and draws Nadal in the quarters. Think he'll make it to the semi's at least but as for winner it's anybodies guess. Some huge games coming over next two days, Wawrinka Federer looks like it'll be a barnstormer, Nadal Djokovic tomorrow and Murray Ferrer has every chance of going long.

So first semi-final will be Tsonga vs Wawrinka. That's gonna be huge for either of them, one of them will be facing Djokovic/Ferrer/Murray/Nadal who'll have to have come through two huge games.
I'd be lumping on Wawrinka right about now tbh.

Pulling for Djokovic to get the career Grand Slam, and hopefully the calendar Grand Slam too.

Djokovic Nadal and Murray Ferrer both on at the same time assuming the womens quarters finish around the same time. Bollocks.
Thought it'd be a 1pm start too. 2 hours of waiting around now.

Not looking good for Nadal, how good is Djokovic though. I remember many years ago a deflated Djokovic ironically laughing at the stamina and power of Nadal. Now it's almost the other way round. Seems to me that Nadal has definitely lost a bit of power.

I'm gonna wait and see how the grass court season goes before fully writing him off but I really can't see Nadal winning another slam, similar to how I don't think Federer will. They're still far too good to lose to people outside the top 20 regularly but just can't live with Djokovic.
Murray a set and a break up, I'd be lumping on Wawrinka for the final though because he's been playing great, has gone under the radar and Novak will have to had come through Nadal and assuming Murray to get to the final.

Nadal is playing shit here. La Decima creeping away from him. This is Murrays best chance if Nadal goes out.

I always thought Federer had one more in him but I think yesterday reinforced why he probably will not win another, doesn't have the mobility or the power anymore to beat the big hitters. He also hits a lot more loose shots than at his peak. Wimbledon is the best chance.

Shame it was stopped as the level they were playing at was absolutely stupendous. Gives a massive advantage to Wawrinka too.

Thought Murray played some fantastic tennis to live with Djokovic there, looked the better player at the end. Hard to see him win from this position but surely great preparation for Wimbledon given clay would hardly be a strong surface for him.

I know he's not even got 2 of them yet but speaking purely hypothetically IF Djokovic manages to do a Grand Slam this year and wins all 4 where will it put him legacy wise?
I know Nadal/Federer aren't what they used to be but he's playing in an era where he's going for 4 GSlams with arguably the greatest of all-time, the greatest clay courter of all-time and another legit top 20 player of all-time plus a healthy crop of good players behind that and he looks head and shoulders above them all this season.
He'd be the first player to do it in the Open Era since Rod Laver in 1969.
Going purely off Open Era (1968>) he's probably already bottom half of top 10 of all-time if you're looking at a top 10 roughly something like:
Federer, Connors, Lendl, Nadal, Sampras, Laver, Agassi, McEnroe & Borg
FWIW, I'd already put Murray somewhere down the next list with the likes of Edberg, Becker, Wilander, Rosewall, Vilas

Yeah think that's spot on, I'd probably put Nadal 3rd in that list and Novak 7th at the moment whilst expecting him to climb higher with a couple more slams.
Think Murray's accomplishments to even be competitive against these three will only be appreciated by the wider public after he's finished.
