No international break don't worry but there hasn't been any since we came to this place which seems like years ago but isn't even two months yet.
Anyway, just wanted to express how gutted I am at Falcao looks like he might miss the World Cup now. Was all set for a really big tournament. Football is cruel sometimes.

Colombia still have Jackson Martinez, at least.

couldn't find anywhere else appropriate . UEFA have changed the rules for 2016 Euros. France, the hosts , will now play qualifiers..... but there's no points available in their games. does it get any more pointless...

Hang on, will they be in a qualifying group like? Yeah, but none of their matches will have points on the line. Stupid really.

So they're going to be able to potentially stop a team from getting to the tournament by beating them, when they don't even need to? Fucking Platini.
Edit: Does this mean they're in a group with other teams who will play against them but get no points for it? Seems ridiculous that this is going to happen, every game should count and the hosts shouldn't be involved.

Or put out a group of 18-21 year olds to lose against the likes of Georgia to give them points?! This sounds far too idiotic to be true even from FIFA

Probably something to do with FIFA rankings.

not too sure the ins and outs , but all I can read into it is they'll go in a group and there'll be no points up for grabs... just the one tweet I saw mind
@skysportsnews: UEFA change the rules for Euro 2016 - hosts France will play qualifiers but there'll be no points at stake in their games! Details #SSN

That is jaw-droppingly moronic.

Basically France are going to be put into a competitive group, yet all their games will virtually count as friendlies. Pointless really, may as well just arrange international friendlies with the teams who aren't playing that day (due to the odd number of teams in some groups).
Unless I've missed a trick and yellows/reds etc count for the France games, it's just literally pointless.

It's not the worst idea in the world. They've obviously had problems keeping hosts competitive over the two years and seeing as you can't let them risk not qualifying, this seems like the only tame idea left.

If they're ranked the same as qualifiers it works in the sense that you won't have a scenario like this one where Brazil go into the tournament ranked low because they're playing two years of friendlies.

Pitbull wins the chance to have the 2014 World Cup anthem, oh fucking yay.
Not exactly a big deal, but when it's Pitbull, it is.
