And also why even refer to the wolf then? If they didn't have that lingering scene nobody would have cared.

Should have just had him die protecting Bran in the Godswood in episode 3.

Hype has died down ever since E3 for me ngl, was even tempted to just read the leaks about the ending so i can get it over and done with. I respect the writers had a monumental task of taking characters that have been slowly developed/nurtured, and giving them driven endings is hard, especially with the type of writer that GRRM is. But i still feel they could've did it in a way where it doesnt feel rushed and inconsistent, idk. Could've gave S7 a couple more eps, aswell as this season

Hopefully if the books ever get finished they’re on track for a far more coherent ending. It looks like a lot of the series ending issues stem from getting rid of the fake Aegon, stripping Euron of all the context that made him interesting and keeping Cersei alive for far longer than made sense because her character was good for ratings.

Plot line has gone to shit but as a standalone episode I probably enjoyed that episode more than any others this season.

Yeah I enjoyed that as well. Cersei and Jaime’s deaths (?) are a bit unsatisfying but I get it. Mind you, the whole Valonqar thing wasn’t even difficult to do really. Hound vs Mountain was well done, Arya Stark was less of a deus ex machina, and the stakes felt higher against those enemies.
Euron was absolutely shite though, the sand snakes get a load of shit but I don’t really see how he’s been any better in the show.

I didn't enjoy it at all really. It had small moments that I liked (Tyrion + Jaime, at least parts of it) but overall I really didn't care for the half hour or whatever it was of the same thing. Fire - building explodes - people running screaming - people dying - fire - dragon - fire - people screaming - building collapse - fire - building collapse - fire - building collapse. Even the logistics of it all, again I end up nitpicking because it's not working for me I guess. I think I'd have preferred more illustration of Dany hitting her breaking point, it just kinda... happened.
I'd said a few episodes ago that I'd need to wait to see how it played out before I could decide how I felt about it all, and I guess we've another episode to go but right now I'm really unsatisfied. I feel like there are so many arcs where justice hasn't been done.
Really not happy with Jaime's end either but hey ho.
Guessing Dany goes to execute Tyrion and Jon intervenes and becomes King. Or something.

I reckon Dany goes to Dracarys Jon, maybe because he asks to pardon Tyrion or maybe cos he held back when Grey Worm was attacking or maybe because she’s just tired of his shit (who could blame her?) but the dragon refuses.
Does the Iron Throne even exist anymore?
Also, the Night King came to stop Dany and Cersei so was undoubtedly the hero of this entire saga, as one final Bran flashback will reveal.
Also, Jaime must have kidneys of fucking steel.
