Wasn't he only introduced into the story as Dany got to the pyramids?

{SPOILER} nope he got introduced with Barristan. they did that thing where Barristan was his slave or something until later on revealing that Barristan was actually who he was.
i'm guessing they didn't introduce him cos viewers would be able to tell who Barristan was cos we've seen his face before whereas in the book we didn't know who he was at that point. so belwas isn't really needed for that, and then he doesn't really add that much plot wise so his small parts can be given to others

But then how will that cocky knight who comes out to 'greet' Daenarys' travelling army get his shit pushed in?!

Completely forgot about that loool Cashis That bit was in the trailers as well, wasn't it? Reckon if they don't just pick him up randomly on the road to Mereen they'll have shit Dario doing the fight scene. Or Greyworm, Man's getting baaaaare air time in the tv show.

Grey Worm's arms are about 2 inches thick, I don't rate him.
If Strong Belwas isn't the person who does what I just wrote in that spoiler I can confirm manz will be mad.

{SPOILER} yeah I reckon they'll give that to Daario. that's to say if they don't introduce him later on, which is still possible.
they do like giving parts to characters which people like on the show. apparently they're giving all of ilyn payne's parts this season to bronn (going with jamie to train him up etc) which I think is pretty cool

Sorry. I fucked up the spoilers. Basically I was asking who you reckon the prince that was promised is. Probably best to reply in spoilers.

That's the obvious one but you could make a case for Daenarys (Maester Aemon believes it's her) and Rhaegar seemed to think it was his now dead son, Aegon, and Melisandre thinks it's Stannis (very much doubt it'd be him, though).

The big thing for me is that Melisandre randomly sees Jon at times, when she's doing her flame visions thing, seems too random if he isn't imo

You see that's another thing, think if he is "dead" that's when he fulfils the prophecy, what with the whole Azor Ahai reborn thing, I dunno, just can't see it being anything else. There's too much invested in Jon as a character for that to be him dead anyway. R+L=J and this, even GRRM won't do that.

Sorry. I fucked up the spoilers. Basically I was asking who you reckon the prince that was promised is. Probably best to reply in spoilers. {SPOILER} Hmm, I'm not really sure tbh, but at the moment I am thinking it's Jon. There is a lot that goes his way but it mainly does rest on the theory that he is actually Lyanna's/Rhaegar’s son which still isn’t proved. Melisandre's obsession (can't think of a better word) for him is another factor. The name of the series works out for him as well, getting a bit far-stretched here but Stark=ice, Targeryen=fire...
I wouldn't agree that Jon is the obvious one either though, the majority of the fanbase isn't actually aware of the r+l=j thing, it's not something you get on the first read i don't think. one of those things that once you are aware of it, it suddenly seems obvious. I’m sure he’d come as a surprise to a lot people
At the start/middle I would have thought and wanted it to be Dany but she just pisses me off now, I'm still undecided on how i want it to end up with her haha. I prefer Aegon to her, but I think he's got introduced into the game a bit too late for him to be the major character in the entire thing. then there's the whole idea of him not actually being the real Aegon and actually just a fraud (which i can see happening)
so yeah, i think Jon. but then it still wouldn't surprise me if he is actually a targ, but not the promised prince and is actually dead now
