Hope so, will be class to see the likes of McIlroy and Stenson up close. Just a shame Woods isn't there, and Dufner who's one of my favourites.
I've been to Gleneagles before in 2011 for the final day of the Johnnie Walker when Thomas Bjorn won, and it was really enjoyable. Wasn't sure if I'd be able to get a ticket to this, but found out on Friday night that I do - now I can't wait.
Think the plan will be to watch Stephen Gallacher either morning/afternoon - whichever one he's picked for (if he's picked) - and for the other half watch every group tee off before following McIlroy's pairing.

I've seen McIlroy a few times at Irish Opens before he was a world star, then he was world number 1 by the Irish Open in 2012 in Portrush and it was really hard to see him close at all with all the crowd around, also had bodyguards around him by that stage. So focused on watching McDowell and Harrington instead.
Good thing about attending golf is that you can take in a bit of everyone/everything.
Understand you're disappointed about Woods, I don't particularly like him or think he'd offer anything to the competition the way he's playing but you want to see one of the best sportsman of this generation play in the flesh.

Aye I think he's a total prick but would have been good to see him getting beat. I've watched him during a practice day at Royal Troon many years ago and he was a sour-faced cunt. Sergio Garcia was the man that day, signed absolutely anything for everyone.

Mickelson should be good for that sort of thing anyway, Fowler too.

Whys that? Usually a pretty nice guy. Could understand why people mightn't like him though very American country club.
Simpson and Watson have been absolutely dreadful, probably the worst 9 hole fourball I've ever seen.

Simpson and Watson have been absolutely dreadful, probably the worst 9 hole fourball I've ever seen. He just seems very tetchy and moody, like I say don't know if it's just me! He just flipped at a camera bloke for basically nothing, I get what he was saying but no need to get that wound up. Aye Bubba's never done well at the Ryder Cup has he from what I recall? Rose and Stenson have been pretty good though.

He's usually quite mild-mannered comparing to the likes of Woods anyway, always interacts with the crowd and signs autographs at the end etc. Didn't see that incident myself.
Yeah he has to carry around Simpson who has looked like a mid-handicapper today, shocking. Neither Europe or US are completely firing though. First game should be Europe, third game US then the other two should be close.

McIlroy and Garcia isn't really working that well so far, I'd bring back the Irish duo for the afternoon. Keep Stenson-Rose, change the rest. Drop Poulter, Gallacher, Bjorn and it's hard to know what to do with Garcia, great foursome record but if you want everyone to play today someone has to go.

Wont be McIlroy and McDowell. I'd stick Rory with Bjorn, get full use of the long drives then.

Gallacher shouldn't hit a ball again until Sunday.
Mistake pairing McIlory and Garcia, needed one of them to go with Gallacher just to take some of the pressure off.
