Fair points, There Will Be Blood is class also. Can't believe I left Tarantino out of my own even though Christoph Waltz has probably become my favourite actor in recent years.
& Luhrmann's Gatsby, aye. Leo is a class above. Book to film transformation was amazing.

Dragon - the Bruce Lee Story & The Garden State are two terrific films I'd recommend.

Gave Prisoners a watch cause i saw some of y'all natter about it and thought it was alright. It started really well but by the end i was kinda unmoved by it all. Looked amazing though - give Roger Deakins an oscar already - and Gyllenhaal is superb. Some things just didn't click with me though (character motivations and stuff).
Also, Rooney Mara is fucking gorgeous. I could present this without comment but i figure i might as well mention that Ain't Them Bodies Saints is a good film, too.

I usually like films most people say are shit like Solaris. Really like sci if and dystopia themed things but I'm so picky I can watch one that should be tailor made like book of Eli and just not get into it at all and I don't know why.

Has anyone here seen 12 Angry Men? It's a 1957 black-and-white Henry Fonda film that's set in just one room (apart from 3 of the 96 minutes), about a jury deliberating over a murder case. Watched it last night and it's tremendous. Didn't think I'd love it as much as I did but the characters are all brilliant.

Yea, me and jimbo mentioned it. It really is class and the characters are brilliant. I loved it every time the votes kept turning the other way and the opposition goes nuts. xD

Didn't read this thread before posting, sarry.
It's great. Although it's always a bit sad when you watch a film and realise everyone in it is now dead. EVERY ONE.
Here's my provisional top twenty five*, fwiw...
1. Dog Day Afternoon 2. True Romance 3. The Usual Suspects 4. The Godfather / The Godfather Pt. II 5. Leon 6. American History X 7. Pulp Fiction 8. American Pyscho 9. Oldboy 10. Goodfellas 11. Fargo 12. 12 Angry Men 13. Toy Story 3 14. Reservior Dogs 15. The Big Lebowski 16. Remember the Titans 17. Man on Fire 18. Drive 19. Annie Hall 20. Fight Club 21. See No Evil, Hear No Evil 22. The Shawshank Redemption 23. Memento 24. Office Space 25. No Country for Old Men
* All subject to change except the first four.
