Our defence was so much worse for the last goal than Cech. Was still overly confident taking a 2-1 lose to Stamford Bridge. Now though... Agree on both points, but Cech still should've saved it. He gets beaten at his near post far too often. I was wanting Ramires subbed as well but only because he looked knackered and I was sure a second yellow was coming |

Also, hate to jump on the 'agreeing with the pundits' bandwagon, but Schurrle up front was such a terrible decision. Looked like a headless chicken against United and no different tonight. We don't play around a striker, but we rely on one to at least take a defender or two away from the likes of Hazard and Oscar to give them the space to do what they do. Schurrle looked like a player who was not only out of position, but was determined to push himself into his own more comfortable position.

Torres was much worse than Schurrle when he came on... But by that time we were already playing for the away goal draw imo. If nothing else, Torres could of at least been the perfect distraction in the first half. We were basically attacking with 5 midfielders and no striker in the first half. Was piss easy for the centre backs. |

I still think that Schurrle was at least dropping into midfield and giving you something there. Torres was just a shit forward when he came on.
Liked how blatant Mourinho's blame was in the RTE interview 'Our defenders made mistakes but they are allowed to as they've been excellent all year. The problem was then that our attack could not score to make up for it. We couldn't finish in attack.' Kept emphasising attack, can tell that he was pissed off with Torres lol.

It's not really non existent technical ability though is it. He completely fooled Verratti in the first half with a drop of the shoulder and a great touch and turn into space. His passing is terrible, yeah, but the rest of his game is good. Calling him shite is just way ott but w/e
