Feel like it's a set up for Jimmy Vs Jey to free up Roman to lose to Cody.
But yeah, first swing and miss from the storyline imo. Strange night all round.

Just not that invested in whatever Cody’s doing now. All the momentum from his return got stopped by that injury and since he came back it’s just been random feuds that just fizzle out and I don’t get how they work him back into the title picture, especially since Rollins has the heavyweight title and has turned face, they can’t really have him go for that without turning Cody himself, which I’m really in favour of
I did think with the Usos initially turning on Reigns though we were gonna stop with these interference endings but looks like they’ve just completely given up on trying to build a good story at this point and just want a revolving door of shock turns. Heyman’s gonna superkick Roman at survivor series at this rate
The damage control moment at the end of the women’s triple threat was the best part of the show imo. They’ve basically started tweening since Bayley essentially stopped competing and just became a manager for Iyo and it was nice to see Dakota there as well. They’re managing heel factions quite well by allowing these moments, like Dom winning in NXT, rather than it all just being “these are all bad people who are evil”

Just some really odd decisions in that show I thought, there’s absolutely no sense to Jimmy turning on Jey except shock value, and at some point Roman has to put someone over or what’s the point? Said for some time he should have dropped the title at Mania by having the Usos turn on him then he could go into the same feud without the title without it really hurting the storyline at all.
Didn’t really understand the finish of Rollins Balor either, think Finn deserves a title run and don’t quite get the logic of repeating the screwy finish from the last PPV, but the Priest/Balor dynamic is at least interesting. Be better if Balor had the title though, I reckon.

Fucking hell that Bray Wyatt news is out of nowhere. One of the people that got me back into wrestling after I’d lost interest

I am gutted. I was so excited for him coming back
I’m the same as Bollo I’d lost interest for years and he got me back into it. Been hoping for him to show up one Friday night

I can't quite find the words to explain it - like it was so damn good but so damn silly at the same time?
Punk/Joe for example was ridiculously good as a wrestling match but also had silly moments with the Cena/Hogan references.
The main event had some insane wrestling in it yet also had some light hearted bits with the chair.
And Sting. At his age ffs. He's been retired twice.
The only parts I wasn't really sold on were Saraya/Paige having her whole family there (fairly sure there's some questionable allegations there) and the impaling kebab sticks into Moxleys head.

Quality show, had good seats opposite the entrance and was great they went all in (no pun intended) with having pyro coming out of the arch and all sorts. Already got the hotel reserved for next year
