I’d be surprised if they venture too far from it, but they may flesh out side stories or create new side characters, it’d be tough to maintain a TV show solely focussed on Joel and Ellie I think

Given previous recommendations in here and what I've seen on Twitter, plus going off assumed isolation in the next few weeks for some of us;
Paddy Power had a list of football related content on Netflix. Sunderland til I Die featured which I enjoyed, and First Team: Juventus which I thought was a bit naff.
They also mention Maradona in Mexico which I'm going through now and it looks really good so far - covering his time as manager of a lowly team in the Mexican league and the reaction to it.
Becoming Champions is next on the list - follows the 8 nations to have won World Cup glory and the stories behind them.
Non-football related, Two Catalonias was really good at telling the story of the Referendum build up and fall-out from both sides.

Paul has probably already seen it but "El Fin de Eta" is a great documentary film covering the peace talks and ongoing ceasefire of ETA in Spain.

Tiger King on Netflix is mad. Just finished watching it. Very much like Making a Murderer in that it sucks you into the next episode very well. Mental the amount of access they had to all of the different 'characters' too. The English Game is pretty good too. Sort of like Dream Team in the 1800's set around the time when football players were starting to become professionals.

Joe Exotic is clearly guilty of many things but he's been mugged off royally when he got in over his head.
Carole Baskin is a fucking psychopath. She runs a cult. Full of lonely middle aged women.
Doc Astle is guilty as fuck and will probably end up charged with more animal offences than anyone else shown.
Jeff Lowe is clearly a sleazy con artist who realised that flashing money could empower him to rip off idiots.
That chunky fucker with no neck is in to his neck in it too - probably helped with Jeff's dodgy finances.

Watched most of it already. Doesn't have the same comedy value as last season but I'm looking forward to the ending.

Charlie Methven gives off huge Apprentice wanker energy

Actually enjoying it a lot more than last year which seemed like a bit of a hatchet job on the club. A lot more professionally done. I like Charlie Methven too, especially compared to some of the jokers from the last series.
Will Grigg tho lol
nvm Methven is actually a knob

I thought a lot of what Methven was saying and trying to do was brilliant, but he has such a smarmy presence about him like he's been brought in straight from the apprentice. He's also one of those cunts who points out the obvious at the football to make it seem like he's really into it. "That's all three subs now.

The transfer deadline episode is amazing. I feel slightly bad for him because obviously it’s all in hindsight, but at the same time the way they’re talking is like Will Grigg = promotion. Also makes their Maja gamble make no sense, it would have been better just to keep him, risk losing him for nothing, not spend £4m on Grigg and gamble on going up that way.

The Maja thing was glossed over a bit. It seems like he walked out on the club and went to France leaving Sunderland to negotiate a price for a player who seemed to be refusing to play for them.
