Yeh first season is great but it tails off quickly. Season 3 the show did completely change and was more episode-to-episode with an "issue" being the central point of the episode. Very formulaic like Suits got. They also started throwing in massively obvious product placement with zooms into car logos on sets of keys leading into basically a car advert as someone drove around.
Near the start of lockdown I started re-watching 24 and got 3 or 4 seasons in. Might pick that up again.

Just watched a single episode of something called Designated Survivor and because I cannot be bothered with the rest of it, took a trip to imdb Turns out the target audience for this show was good ole' American Patriots and that season 3 (which was commissioned by Netflix rather than ABCNBC or whoever) RUINED their show about everyone trying to explode the President with some sort of bullshit liberal agenda because one character was trans Also does Kiefer Sutherland only agree to do TV shows where at least one US President meets a fiery death? Three Stars Won’t lie I thought the first series or two of that was guilty pleasure level watchable

And that’ll teach me not to read other comments before replying. Glad we’re all on the same page

Season 1 also has the worst product placement I have ever seen in a TV show

Sunny being renewed for four more seasons is quite bonkers. I'm going back to pretending they drowned at the end of season 11 🙃

Taskmaster was great this season once it got into it’s stride. Mawaan was my favourite but Jonny Vegas’s breakdowns were amazing

Wasn't the best series but still enjoyed it. I think a lot of the tasks were a bit too convoluted. I enjoy the simpler ones that still have the contestants going two or three different ways.
I see they are doing a New Years special which is a one-off episode with a team of contestants. They are also doing the second Champions of Champions and the cast for season 11 was released. I only recognised Lee Mack from the list of names but might know more once I see them.

The Taskmaster New Years Special was good. Really wish Rylan was in a full series though - he was a good mix of thinking out the box & having some fun with it but at the same time arguing for every point available once in the studio.

I enjoyed Nicola Coughlan and Krishnan Guru-Murthy as well. Good episode

Anyone watched Wandavision? No idea what it’s about but it looks intriguing.

You seen all the films in the Marvel cinematic universe? It's in the same universe and is set after Endgame.
I'd explain further but don't wanna spoil the films lol.

I’ve seen Ironman and that’s it lol. I’ve got Disney+ though so no excuse. Do I need to have watched them?

It might not be essential but it could help.
Avengers: Age of Ultron and Avengers Infinity War at least. Of the top of my head they're the only two which explore the characters in any detail.

Taskmaster - first season I’ve watched and really enjoyed it. Obviously Johnny Vegas is great, but the unknown to me Mawaan was brilliant too.
Question is, which past series do I watch now?
