I don't mess about pal! I'll try and keep it active too.
Yeah I agree with that about Stevenson, especially when he will sell out a big arena in Canada every time he might as well capitalise on it while he can because a brutal KO loss to Kovalev could put an end to that.
Similar to how Bute capitalised on the Canadian fans for a few years before he took on a big challenge and look at him now.

Haha we'll definitely keep it active. Need a good place to talk about boxing, so many boxing forums are full of retards, always preferred starting up a discussion in the GD.
Absolutely spot on there with the comparison to Bute, which is exactly why I wouldn't be surprised to see Stevenson exploiting the position he's in for a little longer. He will take on Kovalev eventually though, he doesn't seem like the kind of guy to hide away from a challenge and it'll be a decent payday for him.

Kovalev the guy that smashed Cleverley?
And lol at Bellew, only thing on world level with him is his mouth.
Worried about Barker on Saturday.

Yeah that's him. Have a look at his fight on Saturday if you can, Sillakh does well in the first round moving and counter punching, Kovalev lands a shot in the second Sillakh goes down, gets up and then Kovalev puts him to sleep. Brutal.
Barker should win comfortably imo, Sturm is past it now, only thing would be the robbery but I reckon with Barker being the champion and willing to travel to Germany they will have got decent judges and officials put in.
I actually think Barker will win that wide that it's almost impossible to rob him like a 9-3 kinda scorecard.

Barker should have no problems, haven't been impressed with Sturm in a while now, Macklin beat him in 2011 imo and then he struggled with Murray shortly after. I think Barker is going to make him look bad on Saturday.

I'm at work but just heard Barker got TKO'd in 2?? What the hell happened? Lucky shot or was Barker really that poor? He came out, got caught with 2 big left hooks in the 1st 15 seconds and then wanted a tear up, got caught on the ear in the 2nd and went down, then got knocked down again and dislocated his hip. It was just an absolute shambles, no gameplan or anything. Sturm did well to be fair but Barker handed him it on a plate.

Sturm started quickly, Barker tried to stand and trade and came off worse in the first. Got rocked with a bit right just behind the ear early in the second, went down and was in some pain. Got up, tried to get some shots off but couldn't, dropped with a shot just behind the head again. Got up but could hardly stand, pointed to his corner about his hip or leg, ref nearly stepped in and then Barker's corner through towel in to little complaints.

I can't see Barker fighting again. Real shame for him but great that he did get a world title at some point in his career, especially after everything he went through.

Sounds dreadful from Barker then tbh, really surprised at him that he threw away his gameplan so early, or worse just flat out didn't have one. Expected much, much better from him.
I'll try to watch it when I'm back from work if I'm not too shattered, if not the morning.
