Feels like we're playing the mafia equivalent of tikitaka.

Like I said local, questioning and communicating is a large part of the game. When I saw his reaction to my questioning, that's when I decided to push it further and get more out of him, because that made me extremely suspicious. Same with others that I questioned; to get info, hints, etc. I'm just saying that from what I've been seeing here, a bunch of votes seem to pile up on someone before he completely role claims and then everyone moves on to the next. I personally don't think that's fun. Not asking you all to agree; just voicing my thoughts.

I'm not trying to argue with you Kesh, just genuinely don't get the specific issue with asking for claims? It works, and quite frankly, in the WWE mafia if you watched that, we were doing shite until we started pushing for claims and voila, 4 mafia lynches in a row, shockingly. You can get away with fake claims, but it takes some thought and some clever play to get away with it, good test I found. Most fun I've had thus far in the games I've played was thinking a way around claiming a character that I was 90% sure clynch was claiming too haha.

Бенне was your first suspect Cesaro? Nope, Tominho, my thinking was his mafia buddies had concocted his role claim for him, and I just thought Hamish might have a dislike for the Hulk and left him out seeing as there was no mention of him in any write ups.

If Stu had his way he'd force everyone to claim in day 1 so they could kill Mafia straight away so he can move onto the next game.

Бенне I didn't say asking for claims was bad. I'm saying that seems to be the immediate go-to here and that ruins the whole aspect of people hinting and piecing things together because once you claim, everything's on the table. Claims are certainly a necessity in situations, like if someone is acting scummy or lied about something or whatnot. Going to them almost immediately though? That takes out an aspect of the game for me and in my opinion doesn't make it as fun

But I was on the receiving end of such treatment when I was town and you were a major person in asking for a role claim. Then later in the game you forgot I'd already claimed and you post a list of players demanding credible information. Like I say, I agree with you but I think the player role need to be altered rather than the way we play the game.

That takes out an aspect of the game for me and in my opinion doesn't make it as fun I get what you're saying but I think that's just one or two players really. We're told missing day phases is bad, so we go looking for a lynch on days 1/2 because that's a good idea, and the fastest way to get somewhere is to put pressure on someone and see what happens. I was dropping hints I was Ant-man on day 1 as Notpropaganda picked up on, and Clynch didn't, so when he claimed Ant man I had references from 20 pages back to suggest I'm the real ant-man and if there's a fake it's him, not me. So the hinting and deduction does still go on, alongside some claim forcing. I obviously don't have any other bank of references to compare to but I've thoroughly enjoyed every game I've played on here, and I've spent the longest time alive in the one I was non-town and never once did I feel I HAD to claim to survive before I died, and that's after I had some suspicion on me for the same thing you did. Notice how we got suspected for the same thing, you got lynched and I got away with it without claiming? It's not because I'm particularly convincing, just because I stayed calm, had a clear idea of what character I was claiming regardless of whether they're in the game or not, (let's be honest, Ant-Man's a gold mine for that with the multiple wearers of the suit) and made some logical points based on the town aspects of the game I'm aware of. Eventually everyone's going to have to claim, and then it's a case of picking up on behaviour to get you across the line. Didn't mean to end up with a wall of text, but I don't see the issue with how we play, and I don't believe it's any weaker than any other set of players. Feel free to get infuriated with Stu's persistence but it works for the town, and it's Stu all over, mafia game or no.
