Have to say Anderson looked more intense than I've ever seen him at a weigh in before last night (Except perhaps Chael II). Usually he does some sort of comedic pose, the use of a mask, kissing etc. Doesn't usually pull the hands up ready to fight. Not sure what I made of Weidman's comments, he seemed a lot more confident going into the last fight.
Should be a great card, the two main events are just gonna be crazy to watch. Browne/Barnett should also be very good. Dana also said winner of the main event will face Belfort next. There's also a surprise announcement later tonight.

I don't care about WMMA past tonight but my God I've never been so excited to see two chicks have a fight. Let 'em bang bro.
Thinking of staying up to watch it as well, I'm that excited. Usually would just record and watch the next day. Should be a good night. I'll watch the weigh in on youtube later and have the Countdown show recorded from the other night. Been waiting too long for this.

Dunno, he got his contract with the WWE extended by 2 years in March. Rumors are of a new digital network.

Well, the speculation will now forever remain unanswered.
That's it for Silva, there's no way he will return from this injury. This kind of thing you're looking at a year before you can even train again, 6 months for a camp. At Silva's age it just isn't going to happen. Horrible way for things to come to an end.

Fuck man. That was just nasty.
Yeah Silva's done probably the worst way imaginable to end a career, Weidmann won't ever get the credit for beating Silva since both wins were pretty much gifted to him. He was holding well before it had to end though.

I feel bad for Weidman because people had so many questions of what would happen in a serious fight. He rocked Anderson early, but Silva got it back together pretty quick and held guard well. Round 2 Silva landed some good leg kicks, then obviously one got checked and that was it. So really nothing got answered, and since Silva/Weidman 3 will never happen he'll always have the 'what if' questions about Silva. Weidman/Belfort should be a great fight, both have a lot of momentum behind them.
Such a shame how it's all come to an end for Silva. When a guy goes out you either want it to be off of a loss where you can say 'Ok, time to hang it up' or going out on a high with a win. This is just a terrible way for his career to come to an end. Definitely the greatest cage fighter there has ever been, and it's strange to think we'll never see Silva fight again (at least at this level).

Anyone who questions Weidman is a dick rider. He was beating Silva from the 1st round in July up until now.

Anyone who questions Weidman is a dick rider. He was beating Silva from the 1st round in July up until now. I mean I wouldn't exactly say that, Silva completely took Weidman out of his game plan in the first round in the first fight. In this fight he got rocked, but obviously had completely recovered by the end of the round. The questions from the first were 'what if Anderson hadn't played around and it'd been a real fight?' and 'Was it a fluke' This doesn't answer them. Ok Silva got rocked, but plenty of fighters have come back from being rocked to win, so you can't say what was going to happen. Then for the second question, people said the first KO was a fluke punch from Anderson clowning. This time we have another sort of fluke result, this time coming from Anderson breaking his own leg off of a kick. It really hasn't cleared up any questions. Also fuccckkkk MMA lost GSP and Silva this year.

I disagree entirely. Weidman was better than Silva in every aspect in both fights. Silva showed no indication in either 1st rounds that he had anything to seriously threaten Weidman. Silva the "GOAT" striker couldn't put hands on him whereas Weidman seemed to have the head movement, footwork, technique and certainly the power to put him in all kinds of trouble. I don't even have to mention the grappling because Weidman made Silva look like an amateur anytime they touched. I also hate the whole knockout was a fluke brigade. Silva clowned about like he always has done and paid for it simple as. Weidman intentionally attempted to knock his head off at that moment which he ended up doing. No way a fluke. Chris Weidman is a better fighter than Anderson Silva AT THIS POINT OF THEIR CAREERS. People need to accept that and stop dick riding. These people would be the same ones calling Evans a fluke when he knocked out Liddell. There's no fluke or excuses. Weidman made Silva look average in both the first rounds, what did Silva do in either of those rounds to make you think he would have threatened Weidman? All he had to offer was kicks. Nothing else. It's sad that you can do what Weidman did to "the GOAT" and have people question you. Sign of where the sport is going. And for the record, people have been blocking leg kicks like that in Karate forever. That in itself is skill, not fluke. Real fight fans know Weidman was not a fluke in either fight.
In other news, I just watched the press conference and holy shit, MMA "journalists" are the worst. Seems like anyone with a laptop can be a journalist. Some of the questions are pathetic.

That Anderson Silva break was sick. Love Ronda Rousey, she's a true heel and brings awesome exposure to women's MMA. She's probably one of the biggest draws in MMA, certainly as far as bringing casual fans in, I wouldn't have watched the event were it not for Rousey vs Tate. I wanted her to break Tate's face as soon as she started singing that Katy Perry song. Also liked the way that Browne took out the big, mean-looking bastard out with the elbows. The way that Mike Goldberg stares and smiles at Joe Rogan when Rogan speaks is the creepiest thing I've ever seen in my life. Best pic I could find below was him doing the intense stare but he's not smiling in this one.
