That helps no one, at least with Labour the 'jobs' they'll provide for minimum pay are solely skill based with the intention of being able to put them on your CV. All that plan serves to do is undercut people who would happily take work in that sector, for a realistic wage, and make CV-building opportunities like saying "oh, I volunteered here and here" completely redundant if not stigmatised by the right and the idiotic psuedo-middle class
The cynic in me thinks they're introducing such dreadful plans that the next government can't possible succeed with once inherited so that they can secure their own leadership in the election after next, when the economy is expected to be more predictable & stable, even if we are to be out of the EU by then
The Tories wouldn't sabotage a future government by exploiting the young and wanting/needing for their own personal gains, would they?

I like the mental image of Germany sending the bailiffs round and Greece pretending they're not home.

Making people who are unemployed do "community service" sounds like there is work that needs to be done in the community. If that's the case why are people been forced to do the work not properly employed and paid at least the minimum wage? What a joke, it's just punishment menial labour.

I know that was being a bit Daily Mail with the hyperbole but I don't get who looks at this and thinks "yep, good idea Dave and the lads, keep it up". Even those who think we're a molly-coddled generation who need to be forced into work shouldn't approve of this, it's madness.

Anyone watched Inside the Commons? basically just shows how ridiculous the majority of it is. the juxtaposition of steve rotheram compared to pretty much any of the tories but especially that jacob rees mogg is ridiculous, it should do the government image a huge blow but it won't.

Convinced Jacob Rees Mogg ejaculates dust. Absolute dinosaur, literally the stereotypical image that should be held up (alongside the likes of Gove) to demonstrate why so many of the lower classes just aren't interested in politics.

the filibustering to try and stop the affordable housing bill was repulsive, just exemplified how little of a fuck they actually give about the issues facing average people.
edit: the worst part was the shit eating grin on his face, a man born into extreme wealth smirking at stopping a bill that would help to get people affordable homes

I really shouldn't watch Question Time, its gets me far too angry. The woman who said working for £2p/h would give people self respect and get them out of bed is just deluded, how can anyone actually believe that?

haha likewise was fuming at her, saw on twitter someone said she's actually a conservative councillor but idk how true that is.
She entirely ignored the key point too because the lad was mentioning about bypassing minimum wage, she trots out the usual middle to upper class excuse of LIFE ON BENEFITS THEY SHOULD GET UP IN THE MORNING AND CONTRIBUTE AND GET SOME SELF RESPECT AND DIGNITY and when he called her out on they should be paid the same as anyone else she shut up and shook her head, then woman next to her called her out for it too and silence.
Fucking loathe how simple people just idly believe the real problem with society is people on benefits, fuck me go down to a and e and try and get seen within 4 hours, try and get a hospital bed, try and get a mental health issue sorted, try and get an appointment with a GP, try and get a well-paying job, try and get your elderly family members to have their social care sorted out, but no, a few people on benefits is definitely the ones to be demonised for there not being enough money and definitely not the hedge fund managers who've repayed the tax reliefs the Tory's gave them by splashing out on days out with Cameron to play tennis with Boris or to go shoe shopping with Theresa May.
lol i hate tory cunts
