Haha lol England. 1/3 was a ridiculous price for England anyway for teams of similar ability. Wales are a good side.

Haha lol England. 1/3 was a ridiculous price for England anyway for teams of similar ability. Wales are a good side. Media and bookies bought into the injuries of Wales too much. Also seemed everyone underestimated just how much starting Burgess and Farrell was in Wales' favour - think of all the line breaks down the blind side England got, and now think if they had a creative force at 10 and a 12 who knew how to play the position Soon as I saw the English lineup I fancied Wales tbh

Hon Tommy.
Way too many TMOs in this tournament I think. There was one in this match after the ref was staring straight at it. Makes it too stop start.

Did the job today, Madigan doesn't convince me at all at 10 though, really wish Jackson had started.
Earls looks in fantastic form, and I was gutted Zebo's toe was in touch for that try in the first half, was brilliant skill from him

I'm not really into Rugby at all but the last 10 minutes of Wales v England were extremely nerve-racking yet exciting. I honestly thought of turning the TV over when L.Williams and Amos both went off injured at the same time as well as S.Williams going off injured before... How fucking unlucky can a sports team get with injuries? I thought United last year was bad, but this is a whole new level of no luck whatsoever.
Thank god I stayed on until that cross-field kick up to the England goalposts was made, otherwise I'd have missed a sporting miracle.

www.bbc.com/sport/0/rugby-union/34381061Really surprised he wasn't cited, I know there was absolutely no intent whatsoever from him but it was incredibly reckless and dangerous play. I was also pretty confused at the time why he was swinging his leg so hard to kick the ball when they were about 10 metres from the Welsh line. Hope Williams makes a recovery for the rest of the world Cup but his health should come first and considering the whack he got I'd be surprised if he'll be back On our side of things it looks like Kearney might miss out against the Italians which I'd actually not be too fussed about, Zebo has looked brilliant at full back and it could also open up the potential of moving Payne to 15 which is his best position and bringing Cave into midfield which a lot of pundits are saying should happen from an attacking sense for Ireland. It's been kinda funny watching the World Cup from an Irish pov right now though as I'm only feeling like our tournament is starting now.

I don't think he was fine at all, especially defensively. The only try came from England purposely not putting the ball in either centre's hands as well - when you have so much dominance in both the scrum and linout, having two centres that are only capable of head down smash your man rugby results in what England got.
I don't think they were the sole reason England lost or anything, I just think people were right to criticise the selection beforehand and with the way the game panned out in the end, people were a bit too eager to forget what a poor selection it was. Put Burgess in centre for the Welsh try and the same thing happens really, he doesn't understand how to play at centre yet. The piece seems harsh but it's just honest imo, he acknowledges how talented Burgess is and how good he will eventually be, but it was too early for him.
And yeah, good ol' New Zealand media. The rugby media there are probably the worst sports journalists on the planet, absolute nightmare. "Well they were winning when he was substituted" is probably the single most boneheaded logic you can apply

That's what I meant about how awful they are, their entire print journalism is littered with snide references to all other countries, unless of course it's Australia or the Boks against a Northern Hemisphere team, then it's all about how shit the Northern hemisphere is. They don't analyse or talk about rugby technically in any way, they just make comments like "well of course Ireland lost in the quarter final", "England have no creativity" (circa 2009) etc.
That's why I actually love to see them lose in World Cups, they can't handle it
