if mass effect had companions that were only there to hold things for you it would go from 10/10 to about 3

Only get to play Fallout 4 for an hour or two every now and then (with a couple of binges along the way) so only at Level 19 because a lot of that time is exploring rather than doing missions, and I'm doing small/side missions first so I'm better equipped for the main story (did the same with MGSV too).
Problem is because I don't stick with it too consistently, I've not really developed a sound plan for how to improve my character and weapons. Currently: S: 7; Iron Fist 1 (thought you had to go down the perks by level at first), Armorer 2, Strong Back 1 P: 5; none E: 6; Toughness 1 C: 6; Local Leader 1 I: 7; Gun Nut 2, Hacker 1, Science 1 A: 4; none L: 3; none
Anyone who's not a complete novice to Fallout like me have advice/hints/tips for where to improve? Currently planning to finally get Locksmith next time I level up. Also any tips for good weapons to develop would be aces.

I haven't even played Mass Effect but I have seen one scene from ME3's Citadel DLC and I've concluded that Grunt is my favourite character from any game ever.

Early doors, whichever weapon type you are using the most, upgrade the Perk which give it damage increases, Rifleman, Gunslinger etc. Also the Gun Nut... that's what I went with and it ended well. Also drop one in Idiot Savaunt (it's handy for the little xp boosts)

My new guy is melee/unarmed so Intelligence is at 1. Idiot Sauvant is gonna pay out massively.

Rifleman etc is the difference between continually getting fucked to being able to one shot most things
The scavenger perk is useful if you're short on ammo, that's where I've made most of my caps from just selling ammo for shite guns

Good man Sween, I was waiting for the season pass to maybe drop in price but according to that, it's doubling in price!

just went and bought the season pass because of that, £25 isn't all that bad considering what they're adding

Haven't played the game in like a month or two, probably start it again tonight now that the actual DLC looks class.
