Stu always has to turn a thread that could have a decent discussion into a argument.

you really are a twat. it's a choice man, and it's a choice I'll make when I reach my goals, at this moment in time going vegan would hinder my goals. im a twat? you're the one still eating animals despite you apparently being entirely against it all because you want to look a certain way first. Thats being a twat. Putting your own 'goals' ahead of the needless suffering of animals. What a cunt you are. hahah, I'm not gonna go vegan for the animals you idiot, they'll still get slaughtered anyway. I'd be turning vegan for my own health.

like i said, vegan isnt just something you wake up and decide one day. its a life choice and from someone at work that is one, a fucking hard life choice to maintain.
if you're that worried about your health and feel that it'd be better off being vegan, then surely you change now and not later on in life?

The planet is fucked anyway, you changing the milk you drink and eating some rabbit food instead of meat isn't going to change much. How the fuck can anyone predict that we're going to be out of fish by 2048? What an awful statistic that is. I completely understand the reasons that people would go vegan, but not from people who have spent their whole life eating meat and dairy stuff who suddenly have some major wake up call and change their entire outlook on life. It is shit how some animals are treated for dairy products? Yes. Is it going to make much difference if I stop having a bacon sarnie every now and then? Nope. Nobody knows, it's a prediction. And I know not every single fish in the world would be destroyed and extinct, it's just a way of saying the current way of fishing is unsustainable. It won't make much difference you're right but if everyone thought like that... well you know how the argument goes. With regards to your reply to l96 tbh you described exactly what I do, and I agree with you, it's cuntish - I feel intense self-loathing when I eat another chicken breast or eat some chilli - not only for the carcinogenic affect it'll be having on my body but also because I'm further contributing to the downfall of the planet and I'm eating something which has been slaughtered for my own selfish needs - but eat it I do, scared that if I go fully vegan I'll lose my size. It's pathetic but I just can't commit to the transition currently.

its really not just something you wake up in the morning and suddenly decide you hate the milk you have in your fridge and you'll be turning vegan immediately. the fact you put your 'goals' ahead of it all shows you probably know fuck all about it anyway.

thought you were better than this, Cashis. If I was better than this I'd be vegan. Sadly I still eat carcasses and have products with rape juice in them. I am taking part in the destruction of this planet and I'm meant to look my future children in the eye fully knowing this to be fact and be ok with that? The prediction is we'll be out of fish by 2048 and I still eat fish. Why would a sane person do that? Dunt mek sense m8 Don't worry about it, fam. It's our destiny to die out, our style of living cannot be sustained. To begin with there are way too many of us fuckers. Something will happen, and it'll kill the majority of us off. The planet will be fine long term, as will other Eco systems. They have a phenomenal ability to right themselves after whatever is fucking it up has gone. World will be grand, us on the other hand not so much.

yeah I get that and agree but I highly doubt we'll ever live in a world that is completely vegan and for that reason is why I said that they'd still get slaughtered regardless - even if I did turn vegan.

I'm never going to wake up and decide I hate milk, or I love animals and they should all live or any shite like that. it's a change I'll make for my own health. how many times do I have to say that?

true though isnt it? bit late for everyone to give a shit now. plus im not having kids so the future of the planet is of no concern to me, i'll be dead.
dont think l96 gets that being vegan isnt just a different diet. but i cba trying to talk to someone whos more interested in their 'goals' then their apparent health, for now at least.
