where has he ruined it? he's potentially put 3 other sides back into it tonight. makes every single match for all of them that more important as the weeks go by.

Because anyone with any sense of fun wants Leicester to win it.

It frustrates me that even Spurs will be villains for taking the title away from plucky underdogs Leicester when even we haven't won the league for 55 years. It's a bit of a big story either way.

Spurs would be the next team I want to win it anyway. I just want a change from the same teams over and over.
I know most of our clubs are miles off but it gives you hope that it's possible. Until this season it seemed like 15 teams were there just to make up the numbers. Spurs & Liverpool were there to some how try and nick 4th but then lose their best players to the same 4 teams at the top.
Now you have Leicester who are the first team on my lifetime to be in the title race this late who weren't supposed to be anywhere near, possibly even battling relegation. And this must be the longest Spurs have put up a genuine title challenge. Both Spurs and Leicester kept all their players in January also.
Hopefully it's a change in the league. If not it will just be a very good season to remember in years to come.

"Five of the Premier League’s biggest clubs have reportedly met to discuss a sensational break away from the Champions League. Senior officials from Arsenal, Manchester United, Manchester City, Liverpool and Chelsea were in London this week for talks. According to The Sun, Ivan Gazidis from Arsenal, United vice-chairman Ed Woodward, Chelsea chairman Bruce Buck, City CEO Ferran Soriano and Liverpool chief Ian Ayre all met with billionaire Stephen Ross. His plan is for England’s elite clubs join to join other major sides in Europe in a new super league – potentially worth millions. The plan is appealing as it would cut out the risk of missing out on millions if the clubs involved failed to qualify for the Champions League. Manchester United, Chelsea and Liverpool are all facing the prospect of that this term, but this new league would guarantee them entry. Ross hopes to reach an agreement soon with all the teams as puts his ambitious plans into practice." Probably a heap of shit but if true... awww have Leicester & Spurs gone and upset them

I don't think it would work the way teams think it would either.
With fundamentally nothing to lose and nothing to play for beyond first place in the "Super League" the lack of real competition would just drive the top talent into the domestic teams where there's Cups, European competition, titles and relegation battles. All it would do is turn the 'big clubs' into exhibition teams while those left behind like Spurs will reap the rewards.
Likewise would fans want to watch a league where the only prize is for 1st place, and positions 2-20 just end their season in total anticlimax?

Depends where the money is. If fans want to watch the new super league that's where the money and players would go.
I wouldn't be fucking watching it that's for sure.

Wasn't there talk of this in the noughties? It does sound to me like something cooked up for the 'emerging markets' because I can't imagine any serious football fan in Europe having this.
I think it was the Barca president last week who said the CL should have wildcards for big teams who fail to qualify as well lol.

Going back a topic but I'd fucking love Spurs to win the league this year. Probably more than Leicester because of the East Midlands thing.

Because anyone with any sense of fun wants Leicester to win it. He didnt say about ruining Leicester chances, he said he ruins title races. Races need more than 1 competitor so thats the last thing Pulis has done. Also fuck Leicester, come on Pochettino!!!

No Smalling or Carrick in our squad tonight, hopefully Rojo will be fit enough to start. I think we're going to drop points tonight but I said that Sunday so I don't really know what to expect from us.

Always surprised when I look at the table and see that Arsenal and United aren't in the bottom 3.
They're never gonna win if you believe this place.
