Yeah, good shout. She's ace too.
She's definitely the best female sprinter at the games. Gave the other two the nod cos Ledecky can do it from 100-1500m and Hosszu can do it in multiple disciplines & distances over a ridiculous number of events but yeah, Sjostrom is class.

Yeah looking forward to the match-up between her, Ledecky and Pellegrini over the 200m free.

I'm sorry but the women rugby players are fucking shite. They're miles away with the conversions. Was saying to my gf when we happened to catch the Fiji game that considering Fiji have only played a few years they actually looked better with the ball, certainly more inventive anyway. We won because we were fitter and more experienced than them. Didn't surprise me to see New Zealand had slapped us about.

Ferrer KO'd of the tennis by Donsky. Makes Murray's path to the Semi-Finals even easier. Plays Paire/Fognini next then Donsky/Johnson. Semi Final likely to be vs Nishikori, Cilic or Monfils. First of Konta's big matches if she's gonna medal. VS Kuznetsova now. Then likely Kerber next. Tough run. Hosszu pulled out of 200m butterfly. Shows she's worried about Siobhan-Marie O'Connor in the medley cos she had a decent chance of gold in both but 200m butterfly one of the more grueling events and the SF is before the medley final tonight. David Florence fucked it up badly in the canoes. Took me all week to work out who he reminds me of. Neil's Gay Dad from Inbetweeners.

Gahh, Konta is just in the wrong side of the draw. There is a gold medal up for grabs here for any of them remaining but beating Kuznetsova, Kerber, Keys and a finalist within days is gonna probably be too much of an ask. Put Konta in the top half of the draw, I think she would be capable of reaching the final from this position. Pleased for Svitolina though. She's been my new favourite for abit now. And she's up against my old favourite Kvitova. Puig vs Siegemund in the other Quarter seems the weakest, though Puig has always been a pretty good player in patches

Americans smashing it is the pool rn.
O'Connor gets the silver. Probably smart from Hosszu pulling out of he fly in the end given it was so close.

Now silver in the men's 4x200m. This games is almost like a reverse London in terms of which events we're doing well in.

Couple of great silvers last night.
Awesome seeing Phelps take that 200m and Ledecky continuing her dominance. Another gold in the 800m hopefully to come for her and it's a shame/stupid that 1500m has been taken off the Olympic schedule for women because she'd probably have completed the clean sweep and taken that too.

I think it's always been that way with swimming programme at the Olympics. Men do the 1500m, women do the 800m and over 50m they only race freestyle. I think the argument is that there are already a lot of medals up for grabs for swimming as a discipline which I guess is fair enough.
Also, Hosszu scares the shit out of me.

Poor performance from Emma Pooley just now in the time trial. Makes a farce of her coming out of retirement and taking Dani King's place.

Looking like Froome will be struggling to medal here. Hope our Road Racers aren't indicative of the rest of our cyclists because I have about a 1/4 of our remaining medals coming in the Velodrome. Edit: Good lad, Froome. Got himself a bronze by about 5secs, probably lucky that Aussie fella had to change his bike. Cancellara gold. Pretty epic for him at 35.

They will be. Laura Trott will still do well but the rest of them will struggle.
Proper downer this has been today.
