Are we allowed to discuss this here? We don't have to be all cryptic (😎) do we?
I've only recently been getting into this, invested recklessly a couple months back when I didn't fully understand it and got annihilated in deposit and withdrawal fees.
Now I've worked it out to a certain extent and have £130ish invested in an alt coin which is now worth £154, obviously only a tiny gain but fuck it, if it blows up it'll be worth a shit load more.
And if not, 🤷♂️ I'm not risking rent money or owt lol
Any coins I should keep an eye on? I'm currently watching TEL, VRA and TRIAS.
I invested like a tenner in XRP awhile back when it was 33p a coin and sold it at 45p thinking I was the fucking Wolf of Wall Street, then it went to all the way to £1.33 and I was like ffs. It's not gone down to anywhere near that level again.

Go ahead, don't think it's against the rules (but would probably say to avoid sharing any links or anything just to avoid attracting spammers or con-artists).

Read the Bitcoin whitepaper.
Read the whitepaper of any coin you are going to buy.
Ripple (XRP) is a scam.
Peace.

Read the Bitcoin whitepaper. Read the whitepaper of any coin you are going to buy. Ripple (XRP) is a scam. Peace. All coins other than Bitcoin are scams dictated by the Whales in the market. All pump and dump. Just a matter of getting out in time. Unless you're putting in a serious wedge then there's no point in investing in Bitcoin or Ethereum at this stage I bought Cardano in at 0.03$ and been buying and selling since. It's been a bit of a goldmine for me. I've got myself a deposit for a new house off a relatively small enough investment but if I'd just HODL'D I'd be sitting on a high 6 figure sum. Still happy enough mind. I bought XRP in at $3 a few years ago, I've seen my investment take a battering since but I've held on. There's been an ongoing lawsuit going on which has affected it but that looks to be on the verge of being settled, I'd expect it to do well once that's over One I'd recommend for a nice long term investment is Hedera Hashgraph (HBAR). Already sorted out some nice contracts including Google and IBM. It will explode in a few years Be thankful that you live in the UK, the GCT on Crypto in Ireland is brutal. The threshold is €1250 and 33% tax on anything after. Compared to £12,300 threshold in the UK and and 10% up until the higher tax band and 20% after.

On a more serious note nice work getting in ahead of the ADA momentum, it's by far the coin I'm most bullish on long term, although ETH 2.0 will be a testing point as if they do manage what they're promising, then the edge that Eth has in terms of existing infrastructure will probably win out.
I've not really bought into the idea that the blockchain is the future and that we'll all be decentralising our fridges one day but I do figure that nightmare capitalism is here to stay for the forseeable so you might as well play the game by the right rules to win

I think the thing that will slow down Cardano is the reduction of the Gas fees for Eth 2.0, until then I'm more than happy to keep on board and to keeping buying the dip. Looks like there's gonna be more carnage on the way I think Crypto is another but longer term dot.com bubble. Definitely the future but will only have a few coins still relevant in 15/20 years. There's already an elitist view from long term supporters of the stable coins towards the ALT's and I think that will come more to the fore going forward.

I keep mistiming when to sell but I'm pretty new to trading with crypto so I guess profit is profit. Before I would just collect as much as I could through mining and buying in every month but I'm trying to trade with it now.
Bought ADA at 95p a couple months ago, sold some over the last few days for £1.10 and then £1.22, wake up today and it's £1.47.
Anyone use NEXO? I don't have large amounts of money in there but a decent amount earning 12% interest. DYOR on it though.
