I wanted to post this back on neo but can't be arsed contributing to their numbers. So a bit delayed but cheers to lazio for all his hard work as mod back there. I've always felt that lazio's avatar perfectly summed up how he modded us as well Cheers bud!

Lazio, I've always wondered, do you support Lazio or Rangers? Pick one you plastic.

Cheers to you and Mycon. You both stepping down to move over here really underlined this "revolution", if you like.

Cheers doodz. New forum so I've gone for a change from the Jim ava, but he's still my hero. D: Lazio, I've always wondered, do you support Lazio or Rangers? Pick one you plastic. Always have been, always will be a Rangers fan, they will always come first, but I can remember watching the old Football Italia show on Channel 4 in the mid 90's and beginning to follow Lazio and have done ever since. Wouldn't call myself a Lazio fan, I can't, that's bullshit, but I've been following them for something like 17-18 years so I'm pretty invested in how they do. And FO jambo.

Alan Do Lazio's shady ties ever bother you? This isn't a dig, I know nowhere near enough about it for it to be, just the kind of thing I've heard, Lazio right-wing and Roma left-wing. gg for all who stepped down, wasn't a necessity by any means but appreciated nonetheless

There is a small-ish right wing element within the Lazio support which is still there today, they got the club in trouble when Klose signed for displaying a banner welcoming him with a not-so-subtle SS motif in it. And the problem exists within quite a few teams in Italy, I'm sure @hellas could fill us in on Hellas Verona's right wing ties, but it's definitely not something I support. Then in complete contrast to that, I hero-worshipped Sinisa Mihajlovic at Lazio and he has a reputation as a violent racist with ties to a Serbian war criminal and, with the help of some Lazio fans, mourned his death very publicly before one match (although there is a pretty complex and deep history behind that).

Yeah there are a number clubs who have historically had fans with political ties. Hellas,Lazio,Milan etc. have always had right wing ties while Roma,Livorno etc. have always had left wing ties. Nowadays the politics rarely makes an appearance amongst the fans though. It was more of a 70s/80s/90s thing. For example I happen to know quite a lot of Roma fans and not one of them has left wing ideals. I'd say the two sets of fans where political ties are most noticeable are Lazio and Livorno. But as Alan said, it's still only a small part of their supporters.
