That's fine if they question it, they have self interests as employers but it shouldn't dictate a nation's sovereignty. It's what pisses me off most about the way things are, it's more important in Ireland to keep Google headquarters in Dublin than to look after our elderly etc. Guaranteed if independence was achieved anyway the new Scottish government would find ways to attract or keep businesses in their country. I'm sure while businesses express doubts, (which of course they are because nothing is set in stone), they're not gonna up and leave as soon as a yes vote is achieved. Like everything else they'll see how it pans out. For me, it is scaremongering, it's basically saying vote No or lose your job, ridiculous. Only thing I've actually seen from the Yes side is things could be better, that it might be better to have a government based in Edinburgh/Glasgow with the interests of Scottish people at the centre of their thinking rather than a London-centric Westminster government who, tbh, couldn't give a shit what folk are doing in Inverness or how life is there as long as their taxes fill the coffers. Anyway. Whatever I'm Irish so it will have zero effect on me I just haven't seen an actual solid argument for Scottish people to vote No other than "Salmond is a dick" "the yes side dodge questions" or "it's easier to stay in the Union". Not necessarily aimed at you just a general rant It isn't dictating though, it's part of the wider issues that should be discussed, alongside currency, security etc... I just found it ignorant to not even acknowledge their comments and say it was scaremongering. I don't think it's scaremongering, it's making your position clear and Salmond should have responded with his plan to instill confidence in these companies. On the contrary, I don't think there's been enough to convince to vote Yes, but then I'm not clued up enough to pass comment. The emphasis is on convincing people that it'd be better to say yes and make the change, and if as you say it's argument is ''things could be better'', is that enough to bank the future of your country on?

The SNP released a highly detailed document on what the plans are for the economy, security, foreign policy etc.
The No campaign latch on to businesses answering a question of "Will you still be in Scotland if they are Independent?" with "We will asses it at the time" as "OMG COMPANY X WILL LEAVE SCOTLAND".

So an independent report has said it will cost £200m to "set up" Scotland. This is the same figure the SNP had been quoting for months and is significantly lower than the £2.6billion "BetterTogether" claimed it would cost. To put the £200m in context the Millennium Dome cost £700m.
It seems we will finally get a TV debate but it won't be Salmond v Cameron. Cameron has decided it is "an issue for Scotland" so he won't be involved. Funny as he can't seem to keep his mouth shut about it. Instead they are putting forward Alistair Darling for the debate. 16th July.
Polls are suggesting Labour voters are swinging towards Yes.
The No campaign have also come back with some more Anti-Foreigner statements. Apparently being foreign is a bad thing.

Reasons you should vote YesHope everybody is going to watch the TV debate tomorrow (STV, 8pm - Online for those outwith Scotland). It's a really important decision to make and it should be made informed. David Cameron can not only not be arsed taking part, he has said he won't even be watching it. That's how much the Prime Minister cares about this country.

I don't think you as the general public should really care about it, but it is highly hypocritical for Cameron do hold press conferences at the Olympic Stadium in London about how much Scotland needs the Union and then avoid debating the issue in front of the Scottish people citing "it's an issue for the people of Scotland".
I'd suggest that would be worrying for anybody not in the South-East of England. He thinks the same of you too.

I'd be staying as far away from the toxic Salmond as possible too if I were struggling to bridge the gap to Milliband building up to a election. He has nothing to gain by debating him and everything to lose.

And there you hit the nail on the head. Cameron doesn't need Scotland to vote for him to become Prime Minister.

If anything, you voting yes makes it more likely for him to get in with a majority.
