That was better than I expected.
Brilliantly tight at the bottom with 5 points seperating Hull in 10th to Cardiff in 18th. Seems only Newcastle and Southampton have absolutely nothing to play for.

Lukaku's general play is pretty poor I think. His passing can be abysmal. Think it was the Merseyside derby Everton had a 3 on 2 break with Lukaku in possession a simple 5 yard pass and they were in and he completely messed it up and played it straight to one of Liverpool's centre backs. That's the area of his game he has to improve imo, his passing and touch are often not what you'd expect from a top class player. I do rate him his pace, power and finishing make him a real handful. There's definitely room for a lot of improvement in his general play though.

At least Southampton are still in the FA Cup though, ours is really over. Future looks far brighter for them as well, we're at the glass ceiling that we've chose to be at.

You like to get into semantics then call Lukaku great. Fucking hell.

This must be the only forum where Lukaku is discussed on a daily basis loool.
It will never not be frustrating watching arsenal get so many chances to shoot and try some fancy passes instead. Could've easily finished Villa off in the first half, they were so poor.

Isn't it funny people thought Arsenal were done for when Vermaelen got injured and these two had to play together. It was Bayern away Wenger made the big call to play them together over Vermaelen and all the Arsenal fans in Germany I was chatting to were worried they'd ship in 5/6 together. Best pairing in the league by a mile, amazing some pundits/people don't rate them. If I could sign one player tommorrow bar Messi/Ronaldo it would definitely be Koscienly.

Who thought they were screwed? Vermaelen got found out well before the Bayern game that he was a bit crap.
it's a little bit of a cop out too now its been stretched to a full 90mins. Both started the City game and were losing when Koscienlny went off injured

Can I just point out I think this reputation I have for being the only one (or main one) that constantly argues with Mike is evidently a bit unfair? Put him in a locked room and he'd find a way to argue with himself...

Luis Garcia has retired. Even if I hadn't seen him play in five years or more, today is a sad day. Much sangria must be drunk.

Think it's ridiculous to right us and Newcastle off as having nothing to play for in the league.
With a good run of results from either of us, now we've played all the big sides in a row, we can both quite easily get back into the race for 6th/7th.

LOL Stu You've got as much chance of getting sucked into a relegation battle as you have of finishing 6th/7th. He scored the goals that got us to both the semi and final of the Champions League, the winner in the FA Cup semi final and a winner against Everton. What a guy.

Why?
Got our best defence back now, the same defence that was the best in Europe at the beginning of the season. We've got Liverpool, Arsenal and Utd to come to St Marys, no more tough away games apart from City.
No reason at all why we can't go on a similar run to the beginning of the season and get back in the pack.

Realism.
I was joking, but was you even on that good of a run? It was early season, others were finding their feet. 11 games into the season you had beaten Liverpool, Palace, Swansea, WBA, Fulham & Hull and looked good. 6 wins in 11 looked good at the start of the season, but another similar run won't be good enough to catch a Spurs side 10 points ahead, or even a Utd side 7 points ahead. After that you won 2 in 10, losing 6. Sunderland away next, every chance you could be 13 points off 6th next Sunday.
