If People Just Do Nothing wasn't due to start on it I wouldn't give a shit. You can't deny it has some of the worst shows on TV.
In terms of new UK comedy it's always been a poor man's E4.

Wouldn't it be a bit wierd having BBC1, BBC2 and BBC4 only? What'll happen to BBC4? Will it be BBC3?
Would have rather had the F1 over BBC3 and 4 myself.

They're meant to be doing this to help save £100 million.
Yet Tony Hall's plan is to move BBC Three online, reducing the budget by 2/3's. So that'd be a saving of £60 million. Programming would be drastically cut, new comedy would go unfunded.
However. The colossal cuntpiece is taking £30 million of that money and whacking it on top of BBC One's £1 billion + budget to make some more drama programmes.
They're then going to take a further £10 million in adding an extra hours worth of programming onto CBBC and CBeebies.
So moving the only channel on domestic TV that can attract the 14-30 age demographic (I think that's what it was) online is expected to save £20 million.
For contrast, The Voice costs BBC £22 million per series.

Nah American Dad has gotten better as the years have gone on were as Family Guy has become worse. They're about as good as each other. Yeah American dad has got a lot better. Way ahead of family guy now. Some of that is barley watchable these days.

They could start saving some money by getting rid of crap like Blandings, Citizen Khan, Miranda Hart and Sarah Millican. I'd one day hope to see BBC have a sports channel but that won't happen in the forseeable future.

Don't get rid of what I like. Get rid of what other people like instead!
BBC1 get more money cause their shows have the higher viewer-ship figures I imagine, a bit like why a Man Utd match would be on over a Norwich match regardless of the perceived potential quality between the two matches.

Used to watch BBC3 all the time. Had a decent mix of Family Guy/American Dad and those documentary types they did. Ones were they took students around the glove and showed them manufacturing and the poverty induced countries clothes are made (I'm making it sound a lot more boring than it is).
Anyone else use to watch Last Man Standing? Loved that fucking show. Have never been able to find a download or an online set.

Couldn't give a toss tbfh.
They have very very little good shows any more, every now and then the odd interesting doc will pop up. Other than that it's only been good for me for watching catch up eps of Top Gear, and Doctor Who/Family Guy when bored. Tbh anything that gets Stacey Dooley off my fucking tv is fine by me.
