He certainly knows how to get attention and give the papers something to talk about, though that was cringey as fuck.
5:12 btw is when he starts talking.

Great night of boxing tonight: Mayweather vs Maidana, Khan vs Collazo, Broner vs Molina and Love vs Periban.
Reckon Mayweather and Khan both to win on points and then Broner to get rid of Molina around the 8 or 9 round mark. Really don't know enough about Love or Periban to make an educated prediction.
Anyone see the weigh in? Khan is looking very big, noticeable difference to how he normally looks. I'm interested to how much his speed will be affected by the extra weight.

If I hadn't been up since 6am I'd definitely be up watching it.
Maidana looks a bit out of shape, you look at Khan and Mayweather at that weight and they seem to carry it well, Maidana doesn't but that's a willingly ignorant comment.
Worried about Khan getting drawn into a war, worst opponent for him to look good against unless he gets a stoppage in. If he blows him out in a few rounds he'd be nailed on for the Mayweather fight.

Ryan around 2am on Boxnation. Today will really show what level Khan is at imo and see if there's any signs of him getting back on track. He's had a few fights under Hunter now and should be more ajusted to his style, fighting someone coming off a big win he could make a statement if he puts on an impressive performance. He's looked well below par in his last couple.

Saw Love vs Periban was actually a good fight, boring at first then Periban should've knocked Love out in the 5th round. Love somehow came through that and won. Fell asleep for Broner and Khan and woke up just in time for Mayweather. Maidana threw so many punches that just didn't connect and Mayweather looked like he was toying with him to me. Never looked like he had to step up. Should hopefully set up a match with Khan now.

Anyone seen the Gloves are off? Froch vs Groves.
Opinions please! I thought Froch ruined him but apparently not according to a lot of people.

After about 15 minutes Groves was just shook, couldn't answer, kept stalling and Froch was loving it. Even got the better of the little pull at the end. Keen to know more from Froch about the first fight, I'd seen about Haye saying Froch seemed too relaxed for the first fight having seen him getting his gloves wrapped, also heard Froch say he had problems/injuries that affected the first fight but seen nothing since. Fancy Groves to outpoint Froch this time tbh, can easily outbox Froch it's just a case of outlasting him.

Exactly what I thought. Not that it makes a huge difference in the fight but at least Froch isn't going into it rattled and wound up.
But apparently all the silences Groves was doing and the dopey faces he was doing were all on purpose to exert control over Froch. So either I'm completely wrong and seeing something different or there are some very deluded people out there who think Groves looked anything other than stupid.

yep, first time I've ever seen froch get the better of him. George's constant stares were funny though, maybe he is seeing these 'tell tale signs' after all. buzzing for the fight, hope groves wins but I think froch will do a job on him this time. predictions ?

Everything points towards Groves winning tbh but I'm rolling with my hero Froch.
If I'm making a case for him I'd say he knows Groves can hurt him therefore won't be any where near as careless as he was in the first fight which is what got him caught in the first round, a combination of being angry and careless. That first round will have took a hell of a lot to recover from so if he doesn't have to go through that again he might take Groves into deep waters as he kinda did in the first fight but this time get a proper KO.

Aye, deluded. He kept stalling whilst looking confused, stumbling over his lines, looking for Johnny to interject when Carl was questioning him. It was silly, he was literally doing what I used to do on Neo and latching onto absolutely any literal mistake Groves made in his argument and leaping onto it which caused him to backpedal.
Groves started well with the 'international superstar' but after that Froch was calm, collected, didn't lose his cool and was metaphorically beating Groves all ends up.

Yeah I'm the same Chappy, common sense suggests Groves should probably win but as annoying as he's been lately I'd still love to see a Froch win.
Other thing about the last fight is that aside from being caught cold when he was dropped, he took a shitload more punishment without ever really seeming in trouble. As you say if he can avoid a disastrous start then he does know he's got the stamina and strength to last the full 12, something Groves has never really shown the ability to do at this level.

I thought it was funny when they both asked Groves what lies Froch tells to which he replied "What?" he looked completely baffled that he'd actually been asked to back up his statement and then proceeded to just stare at Froch while looking gormless.
The thing about the first fight is whether or not you think it was a shit stoppage or whether or not you think Froch would have eventually got a proper stoppage, there's not doubt in my mind that Groves was fading fast and that was after Froch took the biggest beating of his career for 6 rounds.
