says more about our striking options than anything though, with sturridge not being fit and rooney not always playing up front i just can't see why we'd wait that long Yeah I don't disagree if he keeps this up he deserves a call-up but I quite liked how Hodgson would ignore the clamour for player callups based on a couple months of decent form. Obviously Kane's situation is different to say Grant Holt considering their age differences and the teams they play for, but it took him a while to call up Lallana right? |

lallana was in his first squad after euro 2012 iirc though he wasn't capped for another year. still, we have plenty of midfielders and not too many strikers, would be shocked if he's not called up, though not astounded
hopefully we let him go to the u21 euros in the summer as well

He'll be in the next squad, just to get a taste of what being in the international squad is all about. Hodgson does it with everyone before giving them their debut. He'd be mad to overlook him as the only English striker in better form than him at the moment is Charlie Austin but he's a dirty gypo cunt.
