So according to the Financial Times, Johnson will want to hold an election just after Brexit.
No one will want to win that election. No one can succeed in the next government and if you’re Labour, having to try to reverse a decade of terrible decisions by the Tories and Libs and getting all the blame for the situation we’ll find ourselves in.

If the Tories can’t get No Deal through I can see the following election resulting in the Lib Dems going into coalition with them on the condition of a second referendum. Remain will probs lose again lol.

The purpose of the election is to get no deal through though. If they call an election and strategically pick the date just after Oct 31 then we'll no deal by default because parliament will be closed for 25 days before the election - preventing opposition parties doing anything to stop it.

From a legal point of view it seems very much like uncharted waters so honestly I’ve got no idea what will happen if push comes to shove No Deal/election wise. Cummings seems to be confident it can be pushed through/happen by default without parliament whilst people like Grieve think they have the legislative tools in place to stop it.

In other news the pound just hit it’s lowest level against the dollar since 1985 lol. Decade low against the euro just in time for the holidays as well.

The entire anti-no deal side seems like a bit of a shambles atm. For all the talk of putting differences aside and working together on this one issue it seems like petty squabbles will ultimately doom them.

Swear Brexit has turned every politician's brain to absolute mush
Might found a political party and sort this out, who's in?
