Aye the views were stunning. We also paid 10 euros to zipline across the river and get a picture taken at the end. It's a bit touristy in the centre but a few streets back it's a proper authentic Spanish town, a world away from central Madrid.

I’ve only been to Madrid for the day djed, so that’s brilliant thanks. Is that the famous market you’ve recommended there? Heard a lot about it, never caught the name. Someone in work recommended Segovia, but I’ll check Toledo out too.
Looking forward to it, I love Spain. Seville up first in April though, if anyone has any recommendations let me know.

Plaza de España is where everyone goes in Sevilla. You can get an absurdly good panoramic view there, it’s basically shaped like a massive crescent. Now too far a walk from there to Sevilla’s ground either which is where I ended up being interviewed on Spanish TV after the final speaking about Reyes’s death. Honestly though I didn’t spend much time in Sevilla. Went when I was younger and it’s a really nice place, they have a massive Semana Santa (Easter) festival in Sevilla during April and also their Feria festival two weeks later so if you’re lucky you’ll probably get to witness one of them. It’s a really good vibrant atmosphere but it will mean its going to be a busy city because people will come into the city from the surrounding towns. I can’t remember which of the two it is but there are also some proper mad KKK-style hooded uniforms worn as part of it which is a bit disturbing at first. But it’s really colourful and everyone has a really good time there. edit: it’s Semana Santa they wear those costumes, like I say, disturbing.

Hahaha wtf is that? My hotel has a roof top bar that overlooks the Sevilla stadium so I’m looking forward to that. Unfortunately they’re away though. It’s Holy Week when I’m there, so I’m hoping Wednesday/Thursday aren’t too mad, cos I’m sure Friday/Saturday will be!

Mercado San Miguel is aye, it's only a short walk from Sol which is the main square for most, it's worth seeing and if you don't mind paying tourist prices it's alright. There's also a few rooftop bars dotted around at decent prices too.
I've heard Segovia is meant to be great too but we opted for Toledo.

Best places to go in Spain? Thinking Madrid, Valencia and another, preferably smaller place for the summer. Already done Bilbao & San Sebastián, going to Seville in April and willing to miss Barcelona this time. It’s obviously a horrible exercise but Pamplona for the running of the bulls festival is one of the craziest places I’ve been to.

Anyone done Bologna? Binning off Bucharest for the Euros because it's stupidly expensive - can't get it below £300pp for 2 nights. But I can do Bologna for the same period for £100 each but a quick search online and there doesn't seem to be THAT much to do?

Apparently the food is some of the best in Italy.

It is a really cool city, food and bars were amazing. Would be a nice place to spend some time just chilling, eating and drinking. If you want to fill your time though, the train to Florence was only an hour I think?

Travelling to Thailand on Thursday for 8 weeks. Going to be travelling all round Southeast Asia before ending my trip watching the first test between England and Sri Lanka in Galle. So excited, anyone who’s been out there for any last minute tips etc?

So excited, anyone who’s been out there for any last minute tips etc? Literally just got back from a month in Thailand on honeymoon last week. If you can get up to Chiang Mai in the North there's loads of great treks and trips you can do. Especially Maeklang elephant sanctuary which was one of the few humane ones we could find. We were low budget but street food generally was so good and ridiculously cheap.
