Pointless trivia; Russia is the only former champion in this group having won it once when known as the Soviet Union. Wales and Slovakia are making their first appearances at a European Championships. England have only once won a knock out game at a European championships, and that was at home and on penalties.
Here's what U R GAY , our man in the valleys, thinks of Wales' chances;
Helo , byddwch yn cont and hello to our viewers in England... *pat yourself on the back if you got the Mitchell and Webb Look reference*
Beneficiaries of UEFA’s inclusion policy to increase the European Championships to 24 teams, Wales will be competing in their maiden Euros and their first major international tournament since the 1958 World Cup.
Drawn in a tough, but qualify-able group which includes their neighbours England, Wales will have to rely on the individual brilliance of star man, Gareth Bale, who has a legitimate claim to being the best footballer at the tournament this summer.
Their line-up is a mish-mash of Premier League and Championship quality players and whilst Bale is joined by other solid top flight players like Ramsey, Allen and captain Williams, there are gaps in the squad that make it unlikely that Wales will be able to challenge deep into the tournament.
It would be an achievement for Wales to make it past the group stages, and as evidenced in their most recent friendly, a 3-0 hammering by Sweden, Wales are very little without the Real Madrid star.
Aside from the aforementioned Bale, Wales lack a goalscorer, the best striker in their squad, Sam Vokes has a pretty paltry international goalscoring record of just 6 in 40 games.
Manager Chris Coleman has stuck with a 5-3-2 formation that is unlikely to change at this late stage, making use of his ambulance of decent quality defenders, Wales let their stars do the attacking while keeping a rigid defence that afforded them 7 clean sheets during qualifying.
Manager: Chris Coleman
Predicted XI: Hennessey, Gunter, Chester, A.Williams (c), Davies, Taylor; Allen, Ramsey, Ledley, Bale, Vokes
Star Man: Gareth Bale
One to Watch: Jonny Williams
Weak Link: Strikers
Prediction: Fall at the Group Stages
As for Slovakia, Simon 's opinion on his side is below;
He's English not Scouse, it's g7vikings and his thoughts on how the mighty ENG-GER-LAND will fare;
And with a heavily censored write-up that has been pre-approved several times, it's Бенне and his thoughts on the great, honest, democratic Russia;
