The Loungin' exemption is why you can tell it is a question of who is doing it rather than what is being done. For some reason the current regime decided two years ago to close down the Football forums outside of the "games" and that is exactly what they are engaged in right now. We're better off where we are, tbh.

Dynamite gone and me replacing her. Think that would do.

Most of the demands would be to make it like this place, so not much point in going back cos it'll never happen anyway.

constant sums it all up nicely for me. I had my suspicions before I stepped down which is what, two years ago now? At least 18 months surely. Dynamite was a tool then, the way she speaks down at people is pathetic. I made a post about what was happening with the site back when IA (i think) got promoted in the football lounge and received two nice PMs from constantplanck and Solitario both agreeing with and confirming my thoughts. We aren't wanted, I don't want to be there and this place has everything we need.

Think I agree with the general consensus. And not necessarily because of Dynamite making the calls. The situation has raised admin awareness, so it's no longer an one-man decision (which, let's face it, all super decisions are atm considering the other two are pretty much a lobotomised Dynamite clone and a well-polished Kokoro). What seems to be the bigger issue right now is Old El Paso. I honestly don't know the extent at which advertisers are threatening Neo because of 'offensive' content, if we trust Dyna's word on it it's pretty serious. But should we really? Or is it just a good opportunity for him to impose his way while hiding behind a 'bigger power'? I wouldn't know. What I do know is he wasn't fond of Football even way before Old El Paso.
This place is nice in any case. The challenge here will be maintaining it (definitely not as active, I'm not deluded, but active enough for us all to at least use it as often as we did with Neo) even after its novelty is gone. So I'm appealing straight to everyone's narcissism: can we make Football manage what no other community did?

Nothing could make me go back, the place is a joke. But for a hypothetical argument, shortman to demote cos he's a lying kiss-arse snivelling rate whose mum I am going to wank over, IA needs to demote cos he is actually a little cunt also and Dynamite to die.

I don't see why anyone was considering going back. This place seems better atm (although as folk have said, might be the novelty thing but I don't think it is, personally).
From the Neoseeker thread: •Going back to the Football Forum just to go "MAN THIS PLACE IS DEAD" is pointless and completely contradicts what we're trying to do here.
What exactly were we trying to do here?

If we could manage to attract members here that have just stumbled across us - who had nothing to do with neoseeker - then there really would be no reason to return. If we continue with our own community, we'll have a lifespan of at least a year. So what we need to do is: continue the rate of football posting that's occuring at the moment, so we look appealing. And then spread the word. This place could be bigger than neoseeker - in terms of football only. It's a very good layout for a forum of this type.

The only way the community as a whole could go back would require something we'd never get: A super on our side.

I'd only wanna go back if it became exactly like here. Which will be never.

It's good to see the general consensus is that this is the new home, we've just got to make sure after the novelty and after the whole neoseeker situation has calmed down that it stills remains active. Audacity made a good point about attracting new members, not sure how anyone would stumble across the site unless they had visited neo though, that's the only problem.

I prefer it here if I am honest, hardly posted about stuff other then FM on Neo but here I've enjoyed talking about all sorts from WWE, Football, Weather and more. What we have here is a great little community that at the moment is thriving with loads of activity. I will still pop on Neo for the FM forum but thats it. Maskya Yoshida Maybe get members to post a little bout this site on Twitter, Facebook etc to get a little advertising out there? Not sure how much it would help but its a start.
