Going on from Solitario's post in GD, what demands would you make if it became clear that those with a bit of authority on Neoseeker began discussions to entice us to try and re-establish the community over there? Personally, I'd want Shortman gone. He just doesn't appreciate nor understand the community at all, I genuinely think it's above him. I don't think he's strong enough to moderate the forums demographic, as shown by his numerous whinges and rants in private when a member challenged him in public (which explains his eagerness to get rid of me and Maskya Yoshida). Then there's the bitching and outright lying to members before attempting to play kiss arse via PM afterwards once he realised the scale of the exodus he'd essentially caused. I have no issues with PL as a mod, think he could be a very good one even with all of us over there. IA I'm not sold on, but would gladly accept the double act. If I had my say I'd have one of us lot as mod. Rich maybe, someone who's far enough away from the main group of 'troublemakers' but with enough experience to understand it. Also for Dynamite to step aside for any dealings to do with the forum and leave one of the other supermods to overlook us. Promote Chad, preferably.

There's nothing they could offer that would make me want to go back at this point. Even if we're talking unrealistic requests that they would never agree to.
I don't ever want anyone "in charge" of us in any way shape or form ever again.

My rightful place as mod.
I'm not being passed over for IbacusfuckingAbacus.
Also supermods who actually visit the fucking place to make decisions.

If this place stays as it is, it's more or less the same as it was before on neoseeker without the restrictions that caused all the rows in the first place. There are 143 members now, so that's probably more that were regularly posting in the football forum on neoseeker as you have a lot of ex-members and lurkers that are already posting more here.

I'd go back if actual money hadn't been put into this place. I feel that's the point of no return.
Leniency though. It's not much to ask for at all is it?

Problem is there's only so much they're going to agree with. They won't get rid of a mod/super mod because they'll just class that as unfair on the person, at most they'll say they'll talk to them. They may promote someone as a mod, but again that's probably a long shot in itself. With the leeway, that just wont happen in the way you'd want. It's targeted as a family friendly forum, and they've spent the last few years really pushing that at clamping down on 'inappropriate threads' etc. So they're never going to just turn a blind eye to everything.
Tbh, I'm fairly sure what they meant by willing to try and hash something out is expecting a 'unban the people that got permad, and wipe the slate clean.'

Nothing, really. The point will not change that the forums at Neo are currently run however dynamite sees fit and using no other overriding logic mostly because there is no one with the power to do anything about it.
There was an attempt to hide behind "the advertisers" but what is tolerated in Loungin currently is a hundred times worse than what was deemed unacceptable in the Football Lounge. Moreover the weirdness in Loungin is really chasing off a lot of new posters from that forum but that isn't really ever brought up anyway. There was an attempt to hide behind "site rules" but rule breaking in other forums is tolerated with relative impunity whereas something like bypassing the swear filter can be a permaban in other forums. It essentially boils down to the fact that dynamite doesn't want most of us around and never really did so nothing short of a new team of supermods is going to change that.
I mean, I moderated around the site for years and didn't agree with every decision ever but there was always a feeling of give and take and mutual respect and in the end I think that we always reached a common accord in the best interests of the forum as a whole. My most recent stint, however, really featured anything but that and it basically boiled down to the fact that you either did it the dynamite way and got a site promotion or you did it the other way and got a ban. A fact that I learned all too well when I asked to demote from the Lounge.

Having moderated under her the only way I'm going back is without Dynamite at the helm.
Although obviously 'Don't bother asking to return.'

I wouldn't be interested in going back to neoseeker's football forum. This group here was never really compatible with neoseeker's strict rules on little things like swearing, womanising and 18+ themed conversation. Do you really want to give up those freedoms now and go back to bring treated like children?

Have no interest in going back, this place is exactly like Neo but without all the bad parts.
All the arguing was fun for the first day but then it bored the hell out of me, it's a forum, we have somewhere else to post so who cares.

Thing is though, Loungin' gets away with it and the attitude there is more lenient than in any other forums I've been in. As someone who has frequented that forum for years I can definitely say that it is very unjust how things played out in the Football forum. Over in Loungin' we have womanizing threads, we have swearing, and as of late they've been shutdown but we even had 18+ themed threads. I mean hell even marijuana has a thread there.
If there are strict rules they've damn sure given a blind eye to Loungin' and I think that's what you all should be contesting, the discrepancies between how the rules are enforced throughout the site and the legitimate hate of the Football community. I mean shit even I can see that something shady took place and I don't frequent the Football Forum.
I mean you can see why things are stricter in say a Pokemon forum where the userbase will be quite young but in Football?! Fuck outta here.

It's mainly what they call "flaming" though which as people have said was an integral part of the hazing process in the football forum and it wasn't in line with neo rules. Sure it happens elsewhere, not saying it doesnt but it usually does lead to bans and it was going on very regularly in the footy forum. Im not saying its a bad thing at all btw I'm saying the best thing that could happen was for these lads to have their own forum, ran by their own mates with their own rules which is exactly what's happened and exactly what would never happen on neoseeker.
