Couldn't pin down where to post this so figured to do a new thread instead.
Two games left in the Women's Super League - Arsenal could win the league with a win at Brighton tomorrow. Decided to buy tickets yesterday on a whim as they're only £3 and it's a chance to get to a Premiership ground, and spend a bit of time at the seaside too. And, potentially see Arsenal win a trophy too - although sod's law they'll lose tomorrow and then the last game of the season vs Man City becomes a winner takes all affair.
Been to a few of the Ladies games this season as they're only an hour or so drive away at Borehamwood's ground and tbh, the access you get is unreal in comparison to the men's game. Mingling of fans, players just walking through the fans and gladly stopping for pictures. The quality of the football, as much as it gets ripped by dickheads on Twitter underneath every BBC Sport tweet, is vastly improved even upon recent years.
Plus with the World Cup coming up, during a relative quiet off-season for the men's game, is the perfect time to get an interest going.

You've basically created a thread just for me.

And I thought Miedema's screamer off the bar to open the scoring would be the best goal in the game;
Unreal. Had the players jumping into the crowd right by us too as we seemed to be sat amongst all of their friends and families which was quite cool.

Another potential England star produced by Sunderland to go with Steph Houghton, Jill Scott, Lucy Bronce and maybe some others.
Relegated out of the top 2 divisions for no reason btw.

Heard a great interview with Louise Quinn yesterday about her journey from Swedish football and then Notts Co disbanding the women’s team a few weeks after they signed her. Current Arsenal manager apparently changed her from a typical hoof it defender to a ball playing one.
V interesting character

Thing I like about working in women's football that it's a treasure chest in terms of interviewing. Everyone's got an interesting story. None of this got into an academy at 16 and was on £50k per week by 18 bollocks.

And Spurs were promoted tonight, so they've not had it all bad this week

Is there a genuine genetic reason why women are such shite goalkeepers?
Watching the Scotland v Jamacia World Cup warmup game just now. The pace of the game is much slower but technically the level is decent. But jeeez the goalkeeping is poor.

Physically smaller than men for a start but using same size goals.
Also something to do with reaction times that I remember being mentioned last week when Chesea's manager mentioned ladies possibly playing with smaller goals.
Fwiw the standard has come on leaps and bounds - I've not seen any clangers in the WSL games I've attended this year, but a fair few good performances.

Not sure I can put up with another summer of Jonathan Pearce and VAR.
Hope Solo was a breath of fresh air though.

Good first half performance but fell off drastically at the end and Scotland just didn't have the players to punish.
Hopefully just getting some rust out of the system because otherwise they're not going through the knockouts.
