All about THJr...not nearly as much as I am about Lebron's performance in the first half tonight though.

Huge win for the Heat last night. Bit of a statement too.

That OKC are shit if Westbrook isn't healthy and Durant needs to have shit defenders on him to be remotely effective. 1-for-9 against one of our bench players, that's embarrassing.

Daffy Duck posterising the purple alien at 2:25 might be one of the best video game scenes ever.

Right, making a go of getting into Basketball. Going to stick with the Indianapolis theme and go with the Pacers. Can someone give me some of the less-obvious basics. Obviously I know it's 5v5 but how many players do each side tend to have play in each game? What are the basic positions?
Is there an easy way to define what contact is or isn't allowed? Seems to be entirely random what gets called.

The positions are generally like this. If you ever hear a player's position being referred to as a number (James at the 3, Curry at the 1, for example) that means their position. So: 1. Point Guard (the playmaker basically, in there to assist or score. Usually smaller and agile (from 5"9 to 6"3, although Magic Johnson was a 6"9 point guard). Good point guards will get 8+ assists a game and close to 20 points per game.) 2. Shooting Guard (Michael Jordan's and Kobe Bryant's position. Most can play at point guard also. Responsible for scoring, usually adept from 2 point and 3 point range and most good shooting guards can get to the basket and score there too. Taller shooting guards [6"7+] can also play small forward usually) 3. Small Forward (LeBron James and Kevin Durant play here, similar to shooting guards but usually a few inches taller. They should also be able to post up [back to the basket against a defender, either trying to score or force a double team to pass to a teammate]. The best small forwards will average 25+ points per game and 5+ rebounds. Good small forwards can also play shooting guard or power forward). 4. Power Forward (generally 6"10+ these usually play with their backs to the basket and use the post as a means of scoring. Usually slightly shorter than Centers, they're better at scoring from mid range [between the paint and 3 point line]. Really good power forwards will be strong, very good defensively and also capable of scoring from both inside and outside too) 5. Center (the tallest player, ranging anywhere from 6"10 to 7"6 are responsible for rebounding the ball. The very best center will be able to score at a high level [15+ points per game whilst also getting a high number of rebounds [~15 per game]. Kareem Abdul-Jabbar is the all time leading scorer in the NBA from Center, and Wilt Chamberlain scored a record 100 points in one game as a Center). Generally a team will play anywhere between 7 and 10 players in a game, depending on that specific team's rotation. This could mean a player only gets 11 seconds game time as maybe a contractual requirement. The way I see contact is quite weird. The more obvious ones will be those that hit the chest or head or anything like that. The less obvious ones are those where a defender might make contact with a shooter's arm as he goes up to shoot, which will be given as fouls. Olivier

I know Solitario complained about Danny Granger being overrated on 2K, but have you ever had to play against OJ Mayo? I can keep D-Wade until 20, I can shut James Harden down but I can't stop OJ Mayo from dropping 40. What the fuck is this.

I can recall Mayo being way better on the game than irl, but I haven't had to face him more than twice. Monta Ellis was a freak in 2k13 and, while a bit toned down in this version, he remains a big threat.
Harden seems to always want to shoot, no matter his performance. He might start at 1/10 then hit 5 threes in a row. :<
