That was our best match in ages, pretty happy with that.

if they'd take their head out their arses and accept that's how they should play against the teams that are obviously better than them domestically now they'd maybe avoid getting fucked every time

Best performance put in since Arsenal at OT. Is there some way we can transfer Chicharito's finishing into Dizzee Welbeck? Because he'd be pretty decent striker. There's something hypnotic about the way he holds the ball up and his ability in tight spaces. Fellaini let us down all night by giving the ball away umpteen times and getting beaten aerially 90% of the time and ironically his inability to track Schweinsteiger lead to the equaliser.

not impossible, especially with Martinez and Schweinsteiger out now.

I think most people would want Bayern and Barca out. Can have exciting games without constant sideways passing!

not impossible, especially with Martinez and Schweinsteiger out now. Those two were so crucial for them last season but when you think that Dante and Gotze/Thiago will come in for the second leg, they maybe won't be missed as much as you'd think. Their strength in depth is just ridiculous.

Is Thiago injured or was he on the bench tonight?

Is Thiago injured or was he on the bench tonight? Just seen he is out for 7 weeks so defo won't be playing next week. They only really have Lahm, Kroos and Gotze available for their midfield 3 next week then. Still not a bad 3 to have mind you.

Thought Carrick was superb tonight, best performance in ages and against one of the best midfields in the world. Vidic was great too.
Fellaini is just shite against top teams, he's a general nuisance but overall he's just not very good. Thought Rooney could have played better. Welbeck was good in the first half but didn't do much in the second. Buttner was surprisngly ok. Jones was good.
Robben was easily their best player, constant menace. Did much more than Ribery on the other side. In general, they were poor enough.

Carrick playing simple passes is exactly what you need when you need to keep the ball and the likes of Fellaini are hopeless at it.
