Wasn’t mad keen on the proposed development but I’d imagine watching a match at the top tier with no shelter wouldn’t be too fun during the winter months. Did think the layout of the area/bars would be good!

Went for a weekend in barcelona a few years ago. Was glorious sunshine the whole time apart from the 2 hours the match was on when the rain was fucking torrential. Sat there in the ground in a t shirt, would have been less wet if id went in the shower. One of the locals sat behind us took pity and gave us his umbrella thank fuck.

Should have embraced it and got your tits out and had a dance, you've let the entire north east down son

I’ve sat in our main stand quite a few times since the refurb and it’s honestly one of the worst stands imaginable to watch a game in
Atmosphere is shite, the upper tier feels like it’s a million miles from the pitch and it’s fucking freezing cos the two stands either side of it are tiny in comparison so there’s no cover from the cold air

Atmosphere in the Upper Kenny is just as bad, I was up there against Norwich the other week and it's just silence for the most part. You get the occasional one or two who will join in with whatever the Kop are singing but not many.

I was in the upper Annie for that game. Love that stand and can’t wait to get in after the expansion. The upper kenny can get to fuck as well, I’ll only ever go in there if the lower tier is available which is how I’ve ended up adopting the Annie as my home stand really www.liverpoolfc.com/anfieldroadexpansion/plansJust looking at the plans it seems away fans are going to get parts of both tiers which I really don’t see the point of, I’d rather we just shoved them into a corner of the Kenny and gave the full Annie to our fans Lmao just been reading back through this thread and I must’ve made the above point every single time I’ve mentioned our ground in the last 5 years

Have you got tickets to the early kick-off against Watford? I'll be heading over for that one.

Could be worse could be the lower rows of the Select Car Leasing Stadium.
No idea why I picked that one out but it sticks in my head as an awful name.

Missed out in the original ballot so I’ll have to see about the sales and any spares but not currently got anything for it. Early Saturday kick offs are usually quite easy to get tickets for though so I’ll probably end up going Annie = Anfield Road stand, Kenny = Kenny Dalglish stand (I mostly still call it the Centenary as it was called before they renamed it a few years ago) btw for anyone else

Is it relatively easy to get tickets for a match at anfield? Haven’t been in years.

This season yes cos league games aren’t counting towards future credits so people are more willing to miss games or sell their tickets on
It’ll go back to being near impossible next year though but I always recommend anyone to get a membership and apply for the auto cups (obviously not really ideal if you don’t live in the city or even the country lol) because that’s a guaranteed ticket for every home cup game if successful, even if it’s just the league cup. From then you can basically get friendly with people who you might be able to get spares from every now and then, as long as they distribute it onto your membership that will go towards your own credits to make it easier for future games
I’m lucky I get most of mine from someone I used to work with when him or his mates have spares. End up going on my own like which I hadn’t really done before this season but it’s sound, normally sat around regulars anyway (except Norwich in the cup last week when some fella was clearly at his first game for years, if ever and was just chatting complete shite)
Anything that isn’t a 3 o’clock kick off/big game you’ve always got a chance though, especially around Christmas where there’s so many games and people would rather not be sat in the ground in the cold. 4 games in a season will get you access to mid-tier games in the following season and you can easily build those around Christmas. Worth looking around grand national weekend as well (not this season though we’ve got City away lol)
Tl;dr - nah not really

Had the chance to see the works going on at the Bernabeu in person.
Fucking hell. It's monstrous in size - they've basically just dropped a giant fucking roof structure over the top of the old stadium but it feels so much more imposing. It's going to be up there with the best in Europe once complete - if they sort out the concourses too.

Our uncaring owners are apparently looking at a further expansion of Anfield which is theoretically great news but can’t figure out how it happens. More houses would need to be bought for them to expand the centenary and the Kop can’t be expanded without a serious redevelopment of the entire Breck Road section it’s on, unless there’s some way to facelift the existing stands to fit in with the rest of the ground they’re going to have to pump some serious money into the ground and the surrounding area
