Night Phase 13
They couldn't achieve what they wanted in the previous night.
They were confident about doing it tonight though.
Doing what?
Finishing off the protagonists, of course.
--------------------The king of the ghosts called in the remaining survivors to gather near the center of the room, where the lynchings, or lack thereof, were done. The other five arrived very shortly: the other ghost, the beanish creature, the skeleton, the yellow sphere, and even the floating boy.
The latter three didn't like what was about to come, and with good reason.
"Thank you all for coming. The last two weeks have been rough for us, filled with hostility leading to fights and deaths. We are the only remaining beings that came here at the start, and that's a problem."None of them spoke, but they all silently agreed.
"A problem that's easily fixable. It's clear that somebody here has been trying to kill us off each night."The skeleton chimed in.
"And we know exactly who. I've witnessed it with my own eyes... THE KILLER IS-""The killer is you, Fortesque."Nobody moved. They knew this. They had seen it and were aware that he had been killing. But where did his true intentions lie?
"I... I have killed, yes. But with a good purpose! All I've been trying to do is eliminate those that are trying to eliminate us!... You... you can't possibly think I'm a bad guy, can you?""...We can. Because you are!"All eyes were pointed at the skeleton fighter, the same person who had saved Gallowmere from destruction all those years ago.
"This is insane! Do you all really think I would have teamed up with my archenemy!? Are you forgetting that we've seen that green guy causing havoc, and that other ghost killing us!? Hell, he even tried to kill me! The... the king must be in on it too! He's trying to manipulate you guys and turn you against me. Please... we can't let him do this!"They started to reconsider... but they just couldn't go against the ghost king. Even if he
did look menacing, and could easily be evil... he had a crown.
"This is how it's gonna be then? Fine. But I'm not going down without a FIGHT!"The skeleton immediately jumped towards the floating boy and swung his sword. He hit the boy's last balloon and he fell to the ground, right before the skeleton was grabbed by the sphere and hit, over and over again.
The other three--the
true baddies--watched on in amusement as the former hero was knocked out.
"You know he isn't bad. All he's done this whole time is float around. While it may not have been the most helpful... it certainly doesn't justify killing him.""I'm glad you see it our way.""...our way?"As he turned around, he saw the beanish creature flying at him at full speed and he instantly widened his eyes. Once again, he was sent flying, rolling uncontrollably. The creature followed and continued to assault him, again and again and again, until he was no more.
The boy looked on at the attack in horror before turning his gaze to the king. He was met with a surprise when he noticed the king was already in front of him.
"Like I said: easily fixable."The king of the ghosts laughed, and began his attack.
The skeleton, still trying to recover, heard the commotion and looked around in confusion. He heard shouting and yelling, but he wasn't sure why.
The ghost that had attacked him previously walked up to him and stared down with a smile.
"No transformation needed at all; I'm finishing you off as myself."Before the skeleton could reach for any of his weapons to defend himself, he was met with a strong impact to his chest. After a few more hits, most of his bones had broken apart and been strewn about the floor.

Both of the ghosts and the beanish creature looked around at the wreckage they had caused. Although they had lost three of their own in their efforts, they came out victorious.
This game, it seemed, would not have a typical, happy ending.

So, yeah. This game was interesting for me. First game I've ever run. Hit a large inactivity hump that started with people (mainly those from the old forum) not being active, which then led to others becoming inactive, and dragged the game on. Some abilities took a long time to get in on nights (and I don't like continuing without an ability or at least being told that it's not being used) so that was also a problem. And to be honest I would then get discouraged and not want to spend time writing write-ups that nobody reads and all that. But alas. I'm sure another large issue was the theme at hand considering a large portion of the characters I chose weren't known by a good amount of people. To be honest I don't think this was the factor that brought the game to what it came to be, but it definitely did contribute to it.
Anyway, yeah, the game definitely would have ended a while ago if lynches were actually a thing and if people had posted and such. I thought it was very obvious that RickRude and DarkHarvest were scum at a certain point (don't remember which phases). But nothing was ever done because people just didn't feel like dropping a vote. Sigh, whatever. Both sides played well ability-wise, but in-thread it was very poor. Though, when the activity was high, a few players did stand out to me as exceptional.
If I run another game here, I'll be sure to 1)make it smaller 2)check with everyone on the theme before I start working on it at all. I hope you guys did think the game was fun though, while it was at its peak at least. I'll gladly do an epilogue where I go over each phase, discuss my thoughts, talk about the night abilities and how things were changed and all that, etc. if you guys would like. A lot of interesting things happened behind the scenes. If not then I'll just post the role PMs for you all to see, but I think it'll be more interesting to do it in an epilogue fashion. You let me know what you all think. It's 7 AM here now and I need to sleep so I'll check back when I wake up, whenever that may be.
