I'd love for a Nico DNF before Abu Dhabi just because if it goes down to the last race Bernie won't fucking shut up about how his double points idea has kept the title race alive to the last race.

Just imagine if there were a few points behind them and they were battling like they were in Bahrain & Spain, right until the last lap.

fs just realised I'm home the weekend of the Abu Dhabi GP, flying back here on Sunday. Any delays to that flight I'll go ape.

I like Sochi as well, think it's one of Tilke's better designs, but it just has too much of a Valencia feel about it that makes me think it's probably gonna get boring very soon.

Sochi's a good track, turn 3 is absolutely wonderful, but there's too many run offs. I get that it's a street circuit, but surely they can place a 'sand trap' of sorts at the edge of the corner so that if you do push too hard, you're actually punished. Doesn't even need to be a full trap, literally a 15x15ft patch, so if you do run wide, you pay for it. Can still have tarmac in the area around it, just not the track edges. See turn 2 for example, place a sandtrap where the astroturf ends, so that if you overcook it you're punished deservedly.
It's good having people giving their places back, but it's still not really a punishment.

I hope Rosberg wins the championship at the last second possible.

Marcus Ericsson rumoured to be going to Sauber. He's hopeless but maybe slightly better than Gutierrez, although they'll probably stupidly replace Sutil with him and keep Gutierrez as Ericsson's partner.

If Hamilton wins one of the next two races with Rosberg second and the other with Rosberg out of the points that puts him exactly 49 points ahead going into Abu Dhabi.
Just imagine...

It's going down to Abu Dhabi for sure now. However, Lewis can afford to finish second in both of the remaining races and still win the championship. That won't happen though. Something funky will happen in Brazil. Something funky always happens in Brazil.

Fine by me tbh, always thought cars hurtling through the pit lane entry whilst cars entered was a bit dangerous.
Marussia and Caterham both on the provisional team list for next season, the former under the name Manor F1. New takeover/investment I'm assuming. Encouraging with that other team joining too, Forza Rossa or whatever.

Never realised how bad Hamilton's record in Brazil is. 7th, 5th, 3rd, 4th, Retired, Retired, 9th.
Looks like it's going to rain all weekend, rain seems to have suited him better than Rosberg this year.
In other news, Sauber have confirmed Ericsson and Nasr for 2015 but Sutil seems to think he has a seat and apparently Van der Garde has a race contract too. Awkward weekend ahead for Sauber...

Sauber seem to want to bring in Nasr as he can effectively cover the cost of booting Sutil out, plus more. So disappointing to see formula 1 in it's current state. I know Nasr's a decent prospect, but a team of Nasr/Sutil is promising. Honestly no idea why Ericsson was signed.
Quite a difficult time to be a mid-team driver atm if you lose your seat. If you're a Sutil, Di Resta, Vergne, Kobayashi, you're fucked unless you drop to the back of the grid. Look at Kovalainen. Definitely need another 2 or so teams, just so that you've at least got a few teams on a level playing field. Lotus, Sauber, Marussia, Caterham and the 2 new teams means you've effectively got a grid similiar to the late 90s with a dearth of tail enders. As good as a solid midfield imo.
