Somewhat stupidly, Gary Anderson has not been kept on the BBC's coverage for this season. Which means no technical analysis, at least not on the level he provided. Ridiculously over the top and nerdy and usually way over my head, but it was absolutely brilliant to have somebody capable of explaining aspects of each car I'd otherwise not have a clue about bar Eddie Jordan or Martin Brundle shouting THAT'S THAT THING THERE THAT DOES THAT THING.

That Sauber is the exact same car.
Also why BBC would let Anderson go is beyond me. They clearly don't even want the F1 anymore and haven't done since they put BBC fucking 4 ahead of it.

Red Bull have gone for sharper nose to split the airflow more aggressively. Mercedes is odd. Very flat nose. Force India looks like a Narwol.

Also, the reason Lotus have that split nose with one longer than the other is that the rules state that you're not allowed a twin point nose due to the aerodynamic benefits it can provide, so to get round this they've made one side an inch or two longer than the other so that that is the 'true' nose of the car and the smaller side is just part of the front wing assembly. This caused them massive issues with crash testing because obviously they had to make sure it didn't just crumple and use up valuable inches in the amount of distance the front end is allowed to be reduced to in a head-on impact.
Few cars have stopped out on track already, Caterham can't even start their car up, and Marussia are only just sending their car out from the factory now.
The noise is quite a nice one mind, deeper with more of a roar and less of a whine.

Well that's an odd one. Some slots in the front of that too.

The BBC have slowly given up on F1, wouldn't be surprised to see the number of races they do reduced. Sky's coverage is much better anyway.

Disagree, can't stand Sky's coverage. May be different this year without Gary Anderson but BBC's was always slicker, less commercial, feeled more friendly yet was also more informative. Sky's comes across as times as BANTERIFIC, especially with Lazenby the dick.

Sky's coverage to me is mostly all style with no substance. Especially if they didn't have Brundle.
Can someone explain to me what Georgie Thompson actually did, other than be a cheap tactic to pander to the lowest common denominator cos shes a grrrrrrl n LADs wud luv to ave theyre engines revved by her!!!!

That's the weirdest nose on an F1 car I've ever seen.
I like the variety on them all though! The shape of the W05 looks a little like one of those 2006/2007 cars, with the really weird curved front ends.

Honestly, what are the point of these new noses? Some are fine but like the Force India, if it wasn't for the dildo on the end it'd be a great looking front nose. What's actually the point of them? If anything, they're more unsafe because a driver could easily misjudge where they are to a car and wipe the front bit clean off.

When they first mentioned the nose height reduction rule I honestly thought most front ends would just revert to the way they were in the late eighties and early nineties, or at the very least just copied the Brawn shape which iirc had a dramatically lower front end than any other car since the mid nineties.
What they've actually done, for the most part, is just weird, especially Lotus.

It's because the teams refused to lower the chassis any further than they already are. If they'd have done so there'd be no need to these wings, some teams like Merc and Ferrari have managed to not need to emulate a Narwol/Condom/Dildo.
Red Bull has a lot of intricate parts on it already, s-duck on the nose and air gaps on the very front. Also flares out a lot more than first meets the eye. Rear floor has a lot of slots too.

Also, maybe this has something to do with why Lewis' wing came off under heavy load I've known holiday romances ger more attatched than that.
