van Persie when he went from Arsenal to United? Was pretty much at his peak then.

It feels like a large amount of moves used to involve Bayern either as buyer or seller. Either scooping up Dortmund's world class talent normally on frees or selling players like Kroos.

Coutinho definitely, Griezmann probably but he’d been on the downturn for a couple of years so I’d be reluctant to even say him, Sane no way, definitely that talented but hasn’t been on the pitch enough to show it. Ozil and Alexis yeah, probably say yeah for Di Maria as well by that logic. Bale definitely, Mbappe nah he’d been on fire for half a season but definitely not world class yet which was probably reflected in his first season at PSG. Van Persie definitely Haaland no.
No need for a debate lads

Since Fergie left we must have signed half a dozen players who were at their 'peak' and the majority were shite

Guendouzi being frozen out. Suggestions that there's more than the Brighton game behind it.
We'll make a tidy profit on him but you feel he'll be another Taarabt or Ravel and never really go on and achieve what he should

Didn't he do the same thing at Lorient? Threw the dummy out to get a move? He was clearly playing at a higher level so maybe justified to an extend but I guess this is all just trying to get a PSG move or wherever else?

He seems to have amazing potential everywhere but the football pitch. Whilst I think he could be a good player, he hasn’t shown enough just yet. No where near how Fabregas was at his age (although that’s an extreme example).

He is more defensive than Cesc though and doing well in a position where players tend to get better when older (can't think of better defensive minds his age atm) does help to be a bit of a cunt in that position too.

He always shows for the ball from the Center back or keeper which is really useful for the way Arsenal like to play out from the back, but he seems almost scared to make an aggressive forward pass half the time, way too comfortable turning on the ball and passing backwards, which is infuriating when Arsenal all too often leave Aubameyang and Lacazette isolated. Xhaka for all his faults is a million times better at controlling the game and bringing teammates into the game, I just think he needs a good defensive screen alongside him and there’s a good midfield there. I’d keep Guendouzi if his attitude improves as he is useful and for games where Arsenal are struggling to get on the ball he’s ideal, but he really needs to grow up. His attitude isn’t right for a defensive mid and he gets involved in everything unneccesarily.

He's right up there on the list of players hair you'd love to set on fire, somewhere between Pogba and Grealish

Comparing him in any way to Cesc is unfair to Cesc and to him. Fabregas is the greatest young midfielder I've ever seen, Guendozi is like... half decent.
