Surely accomodation would work out cheaper for them than daily flights? Or is it a case of silly rules that people have to stick by?

Flights have been booked for the whole 3 months ranging from €80 per week to little over €250 per week and the most expensive is the weeks when United have scheduled home Champions League games. Not gonna find 4 days in a hotel for under €250
Ryanair though.

i only have to work 4 days a week instead of 5 plus because of the flight times i work 9-3 which isn't too bad.
I'm doing it because the role will lead to a position back in Dublin earning about 15k a year more.

Have started trying out properly writing in an attempt to freelance. Got a side gig doing bits for a UK American football site, and am writing an article for The Tab as well.
Weird finding something I actually enjoy doing, can't imagine the moment (if) I first get actual money for writing like a dickhead

Brexit is really starting to be a fucking nightmare now, fully seeing the knock-on effect at work. Nearly impossible to know how to prepare for it too because so many places are waiting to see what happens before committing either way.

Yep, our contract in Dublin was supposed to be extended until September but even if it does go ahead I'll likely be replaced with someone from Sweden or France as there will prob be less red tape

Last day at work tomorrow so I haven't had anything meaningful to do in 4 weeks and I don't think I've had a proper conversation with a human being since Sunday and it would be really, really nice to just feel anything resembling a sense of purpose

Actually that's a lie, I wrote a thing about that really good Kaka pass while pretending to look busy, in case anyone needed a benchmark for where I'm at re: sanity

I tell you what for nothing, when i began working in my public library no one mentioned that i might one day have to explain the process of applying for jobs online and explaining what a CV is to a skinhead eastern european decked out in 88 tats and other absolutely petrifying permanent insignia. Brass nuts on him waltzing around in a vest top in 4° March weather as well. I live in a veeeeery jewish area, he must have felt like fucking moses down the high street

So I'm getting the option to work from home for two days a week soon. This is obviously to mask the fact we've not been given a pay rise to match inflation in about 100 years.
