Work hard and you might get a £50 R&R voucher, what more do you want?

Right lads, got my first interview in about four years. Dress code is casual. Advice please. I have no fucking idea what to wear.

Depends what it's for. Smart casual for me I'd probably go dark jeans, plain t and an overshirt.
If it's a bit more of a formal place, smart trousers and a shirt but without a tie.

A pair of chinos and a shirt is maybe the best option.

Black trousers, dress shoes, oxford shirt, jumper or thin cardigan depending on your preference.
But then I’ve always interpreted office casual to just mean no tie.

If I was interviewing someone and they turned up in jeans I’d laugh them out the building
I don’t think I’d go to an interview either without at least a shirt, trousers and dress shoes. Like Davey said the only differentiator might be a tie/jacket

If they are specifying the dress code as casual I'd go chinos with a casual shirt and anything but trainers.
Take a look on their website, linkedin or socials and see if they have any photos where you can see people in the office.

have a couple of interviews lined up this week. one is with a start-up and is potentially quite a bump in salary, fully remote role. the other is with a local co-operative here in Belfast, I think I may need to take a pay cut if I want to go with it. Tbh my current job is pretty perfect in terms of manager, team, work I'm doing, salary, benefits, bonus - but I'm just not happy working for a big American corporate anymore. It'll sound OTT but I'm not comfortable with the company as a whole any more, and ultimately me working here or not won't really change anything, but it's just something I've not been able to shake - first of all because of layoffs in the company last year and then the company's response to the Israel-Palestine stuff.
None of it was news to me, nothing was a surprise or shocking in terms of the company's responses and behaviour in both situations, but it definitely just crystallised and really hit home for me that I don't particularly like or want to be a part of it (however small that part may be). It's just a job and it's a good situation generally for me so I'm not in any rush to move. The co-op would be a perfect opportunity in terms of what I'd like to be involved in personally, but not really sure we can afford for me to take a pay cut, my partner has just moved out of veterinary practice and taken a pay cut as well.
