Sounds like none of you know how to use it, it's all about the reporting and the objects.

Sounds like none of you know how to use it, it's all about the reporting and the objects. No point having reports when none of the fucking data is picked up. Tbf I think what we need to use it for isn't remotely what it's designed to do and that's where we're being screwed but even ignoring that, it also just looks like absolute SHITE.

If you're using it out the box, fine.
If you require ANY modifications you're screwed 🤣

We’re moving our systems over to Salesforce next month 😂 Good luck! We're still experiencing issues now because we haven't got enough Salesforce devs. However, it's piss easy to use.

Tech companies and their 5 step interview processes including assessments can fuck right off. I don’t know why companies make it so difficult for themselves to hire people.

Tech companies and their 5 step interview processes including assessments can fuck right off. I don’t know why companies make it so difficult for themselves to hire people. People in management positions who can't make decisions. They want everything to have a score or pass criteria so they don't have to justify their own opinion. Life changes when you see interviews as your opportunity to decide if you want to work for the organisation, not the other way round. Moved jobs myself in May and it's been the best decision. Now totally working from home (previously was 95% home but in a company clearly leaning towards "encouraging" people back) in a global team covering US, various countries in the EU and New Zealand. It's the most trusted position I've ever been put in with close to no monitoring of my day to day workload/times but with responsibilities to meet various reasonable project deadlines. In return for the flexibility they show I give up probably 2-3 hours a month of my evenings to facilitate meetings with colleagues in New Zealand and in the biggest contrast to my previous job can spend time researching what I'm doing and having a large influence on the direction to take. My last job was in a consultancy and I just got tired of them selling stuff that we just didn't do normally and/or at timescales we simply couldn't meet. I'll never trust a 3rd party consultancy again after routinely being given work to do that I had literally no experience in and being charged out at premium rates to essentially google it and "find a way". Then being challenged on the amount of time being charged to the same projects and told to "find a way" to book the time somewhere else so their projects didn't turn "red". The kicker was when the company was bought by a household multinational and the new CEO, having just bought a largely Scottish based company, stood on stage and did the whole "I've no idea what these guys are saying" shtick in a knock-off Al Murray routine.

It’s just the sheer laziness and arrogance behind it I think. Here is a vacancy, that I as a company, often a regulated company will need to fill within a short period of time, let’s add all of these hurdles to filling this position and wasting our time. I legitimately went for a job a few years back where I had 2 interviews, an online psychometric assessment and one (not very well communicated) assessment where I needed to visit a psychometric assessor then go for another interview for the job. When they dallied about for a week after the last interview I pulled from the process, what kind of respect does things like that have on prospective employees? I know these types of things are rampant in FTSE 100 companies. I hear you about consultancy. Professional services to industry is one of the best moves to make for sure. More room to make an impact on something than making ur boss and their boss a better bonus.

Partner just got accepted to be a vet inspector for the civil service. Not sure how it’ll all shake out but being a vet in clinical practice was destroying her, she’s been burned out from work for 18 months
Even just the annual leave improvement will do wonders

promotion and 20% increase in salary confirmed today Congrats! We got our annual bonus structure sent out earlier this month and I’ll be getting a 9% bonus as well as a small base pay increase (about 5% I think). These are all down on what we got last year because we’ve had a 9-figure FCA fine in between, which is a laugh. It’s still insane for me to see our band 5 (highest) people getting 20-40% bonuses though. Banking is truly great for your understanding of why people hate banks. All underworked and overpaid.
