notpropaganda Place called Portglenone (pronounced Port-Le-Known..took me a solid 5 mminutes to explain where I meant when asking for directions), the closest town is Ballymena which is 20 minute drive away. It's a quiet little place, bit of a change from Manchester and probably not the best place to live if I'm trying to meet new people. Also your point about being healthy and not getting sick is pretty valid, you can get still get a bug if there's one going about but I almost never just get sick since I got healthier. Stuff like Powerade /Lucozade Sport definitely isnt as bad as stuff like Coke and the ads about it beinf good for athletes arent lying, if you're playing sport or running they can be good and give you energy. They have a 99kcal light version as well which is decent if you're looking something sweet to change from water.

Almonds are hardly 'healthy' shitloads of fat in nuts and calories.

Almonds are healthy. Just got to be careful not to tear through more than 10 or you end up being on an accidental bulk...

Hogan is right about them being very calorie high tthough. Despite the health benefits, if weight loss is your goal then they're best in small doses.

Not really bothered about weight loss tbh. Just wanna be healthier and once I find a routine in terms of eating healthy and regular walking/cycling to work I'm sure my weight will sort itself out. I'm not too pushed on bulking or losing a lot of weight or anything like that for now. Like I said, baby steps.

How's it all going with the PT @mikecfc?
Started Insanity today, decent learning curve about pacing myself today considering I was fucked by the last few things on the fit test :<

i went to the doctors about it and he checked them over, said they look fine apart from the back, said just go to the gym, booked me in for a blood test and ive gotta go back friday for the results but it isnt urgent apparently
the nurse who did the blood test asked me about my diet and she said that a lack of protein can cause problems, just thought it would be best to ask you guys for another opinion
bought some protein on the weekend in a tub, actually tastes nice, strawberry flavour, also got some weetabix which is pretty nice, change from coco pops anyway lol, its a start i suppose

You're probably a victim of a traditional British diet - high carbs and not so much protein. Fitting chicken breasts, tuna, salmon, turkey etc. into your diet more frequently is a good starting point.
I don't eat cereals any more either. They don't bring a deal to the table.

I used to have serious issues with my left leg, and for a while I thought it was because I'd broken it when I was younger and it was still weak. It was just completely useless a lot of the time and I couldn't even tense it. Compared to my right it was quite atrophied as well. Sorted my diet out though and it's a lot stronger, it was proper worrying though.

Omelette/scrambled eggs/summat egg based is always decent.

Porridge/oats with a protein shake is what I've been doing lately.
Went on a run back from the garage, managed first mile in 7 minutes 40 which is better than I managed last two times (struggled to break 8 minutes) and did the 1.8ish miles in 14.30 which again is better than I was expecting given I do literally no cardio bar walking several miles a day at work (which hardly counts).
Also, the difference in taste between different protein brands is both large and annoying. Got three different chocolate ones, one of them is bitterly sweet, one is horribly sour and the other tastes like Nesquick.
