Tried to get something set up in the Sports Betting forum, obviously their rules on making bets between members doesn't necessarily follow over here?
Was thinking of doing a poker game. Turna set one up ages ago and that was decent fun. I know you can have private games on Pokerstars, not sure if you can have them for free money though (I imagine you can). If people are interested in doing it for small stakes (say $1 each or something) then we could do that, as we're all degenerates anyway.

Was playing in a tournament last night, got to the last 3, top 2 would qualify for the WPT National in Newcastle in May. Other two had 50k and 34k respectively, I had 16k. Shoved all in with AA. Chin slapping dribbler (with 34k) called my shove with 98 off suit. His top class mongery was awarded with 8-7-8 on the flop, and I went out. Such a fucking rip off. I'd have been looking good to qualify. Broke my favourite pint glass on the wall

Reckon we'd only need like 4-6 of us to play for a few hours.
Playing about 10 minutes at a time recently on cash games. Usually on my lunch. Hitting $0.50/1 and $1/2 blind tables, making a small profit (about $10-25 or so) and leaving for a while.
Stuck £100 in on payday to put me up to ~ $200. Now up to $422 after winning a $70 pot.

Played last night, unsure if I made right decisions though, first time I'd played in a while, someone give me some advice.
I had AKo, about 30 or so BB left, gets a 3x raise in front of me pre-flop, I'm BB so I just flat it, only me and one other guy going to the races. Board comes A910 rainbow, guy bets about 2 BB, I flat again. Turn comes J, he bets about 3 BB, I flat again. River is 9, he shoves for about 15 BB, I eventually make a crying call, pretty sure I'm up against trips though, he shows 89d. Anyone laying it down on the river there?
Also want someone who doesn't play to try and make sense of that haha

#FreeBTS Personally I'd probably would have raised on both the flop and the turn - tried to take it down on the latter. Top pair and a straight draw would be good most of the time cos I'd have expected KQ to raise by more than 2BB and 3BB. Possibly would have shoved on the turn, not sure someone would call with bottom pair and an up and down, given the Q would usually be bad news for them. Would have indicated you either hit the Ace or a gutshot on the flop, shoving on the turn would scream a straight (or a bluff). Course, knowing my luck, I'd have been called on the turn and then they sucked out. Probably would have put him on Aces or 10s up to the turn (the weak continuation bet would lean me towards 10) so would have thought my hand was good. I possibly would have called the river cos the shove would look like he missed his straight to me.

Just made an excellent check.
0.05/0.10 blinds. Get dealt Cowboys. Someone raises to 0.20, call, I min-raise to 0.30. Everyone stays in, he re-raises to 0.40. 1 call, I raise to 0.75. Folds round to the 4-bettor and the guy to his left. I put him on AQ, didn't think he was aggressive enough for pockets and AK is a safe rule-out with my hand.
2 Q 8 rainbow on the flop. He raises 0.20, third guy calls, I raise to 2.10. He calls, other guy folds. Turn comes, it's a 5. He raises 0.40, third guy calls, I re-raise to 3.60 to try and take down the pot. He calls, third guy folds. River is an Ace. He checks. I check. His A7 off is good.
Not a bad read by me imo.

Play pub poker in Failsworth. Played in 4 games (out of 9 this season) and came 3rd, 10th, 6th and 2nd (and I went all in with silly hands heads up cos I'd miss the last tram back if it didn't end soon so went uber aggressive).
My favourite hand was 8 3 off when there was a possible flush and straight on the board, and I had a pair of 8s (second bottom pair). Put the other guy all in and he folded. Finally finding my stride offline, I think.

I need to play more poker. I used play it a lot on Facebook a few years back, but that was obviously for 'free'. I've also played with a mates a few times, and a couple of times for money. I always thought about trying it online for money, but never got around to it.

Might be going to a tournament at the casino tonight if I can be arsed.
Still fuming from last night, KK, shove all in pre-flop. Called by 88. 4:1 favourite. He hits the flop and I go out.
Disgusting.
