Depends what you class as 'best' I suppose. We've a tendency to dominate games much more than Leicester do but you could argue that they've been unparalleled at grinding out 3 points.
Still think Arsenal play the prettiest football in the league, and for the most part have done for years (City in the Aguerooo year and Liverpool in the Crystanbul season perhaps the only times they haven't) but they lack a cutting edge too often.

Also typical Arsenal to not even score against Chelsea this season, let alone beat them, yet have 2 wins against the team at the top and 2 draws and a cup win against the team in second.
Monumentally opposite ends of the spectrum right now as a club, as a fanbase. Genuinely worried there'll be a massive implosion that's only going to get worse and worse as the negativity spreads. Half our season ticket holders are venomous mouth breathers who clamour around to get on ArsenalFanTV and that tells you all you need to know about the atmosphere at home games, and the atmosphere around the club in general.

I know the whole argument of the best team finishes top and all that but Spurs are the best team in the league this year. (I didn't see tonight's game btw - best team I've seen at Anfield except for Dortmund obviously and we beat them 4-3 incase you forgot) if i was a bitter man i'd look up all the posts i made when i said this in december and quote everyone that mocked me i'm instead going to go the high road and wait until we actually win the league before becoming very smug

Nah we've been pretty shit for a lot of the year, Ozil aside and maybe the odd Sanchez solo run or Giroud little flick most of our play has been fucking dire. Think City play better football right now and I daresay the likes of Southampton and Swansea play better passing football than us. Stoke at times have played more exciting football too.

United play the best....nah can't even keep a straight face saying that. Suarez definitely. I'll take Fowler as his time at Liverpool probably means more to Liverpool fans than Owen's does - though I think Owen's peak was far higher. I'd personally have Owen over Torres but I wouldn't argue with the opposite view. Who is the other one though? Fowler's peak was shorter but much MUCH better. Quite close to Suarez impact. He was unbelievable. Suarez is no argument, like you said. Torres and Sturridge are probably close to Owen if I'm being fair to Owen but again I think Torres' impact was greater and Sturridge is just a better all round footballer. He's quite underrated lately Sturridge because he can't stay fit. Next 12 months may be the making of him. a fact I fins interesting is that Michael Owen never managed 20 leagues in a single season. Quite surprising. Oh and goals per game Sturridge is the best in PL era btw. Fowler much much better really? Michael Owen won a Ballon d'Or like, I know that it was one of the dodgier ones but he was a freak back then and they don't give them out for nothing. He's quite underrated in hindsight I think. Owen was one of the best strikers in the world at one point. Were Fowler or Sturridge ever at that level? I would say the 20 goals mark in his era is different to how it is now, sure some guys broke it in outstanding seasons but goal ratios were generally quite lower.

Although I wasn't at the game or anything I was really underwhelmed by Spurs at Anfield, such to the extent that I couldn't believe it was the same team that demolished United a few weeks later.

Honestly last night they were on par with Villa. Obviously they're not like that all the time or they wouldn't be 9th.
Never seen so many passes go out of play or straight to Spurs players.
Spurs did exactly what they needed to and put them away.
Here's a quote from a Stoke fan
"I'm not one for knee jerk reactions but last night Fortress Britannia officially became Bouncy Castle Britannia. In last half dozen games the only worse back 4's l have seen this season have been Villa and Newcastle and going forward we are clueless. No movement for angled passes and wide men always receiving the ball with their backs to goal. Mr Hughes appeared to have no plan to cope with Tottenham's full backs and continues to have no idea who to play up top. We'll maybe pick up one more point in the remaining games. In an ideal world we'd offload 70% of the squad........ and bring in Warburton..... before things get bad. Just hope I'm wrong and we finish the season with a flourish but the smell of dry rot was certainty in the air last night."

I'm not really bothered what Owen won, I watched the entire Liverpool careers of all of these players and I'd put Micheal Owen an exceptionally good 5th. We've been spoilt. I'm not saying Owen was bad by any means, simply the other 4 were better. I think Fowler is underrated by non-Liverpool fans, Owen by Liverpool and Sturridge probably by both. 20 goal seasons were always the mark of a great striker throughout the 90's and into 00's and Micheal Owen never managed it one single time. Which is quite staggering because I'm not doubting he wasn't a great striker. Fowler hit 25 & 28 - over 30 in all comps 3 seasons running. Again something Owen didn't manage on a single occasion. What certainly goes for Owen was his performances in big games. When we won the treble he was instrumental. But ask me who I would have at their peak and it wouldn't even be close. Site is going mad and won't let me edit the above without it overwriting what I've already wrote. So I'll revise Owen into 5th and give him 4th. Sturridge can overtake him though.
