I know the whole argument of the best team finishes top and all that but Spurs are the best team in the league this year. (I didn't see tonight's game btw - best team I've seen at Anfield except for Dortmund obviously and we beat them 4-3 incase you forgot) Really? Although I wasn't at the game or anything I was really underwhelmed by Spurs at Anfield, such to the extent that I couldn't believe it was the same team that demolished United a few weeks later. Not to take away from Spurs, but nobody has been outstanding have they? I thought it was a high quality game at Anfield. Fast paced on and off the ball. I was really impressed anyway.

Anyone notice how Vardys basically been given a free ride by the media for cheating the other day. I understand the world and it's wife wants Leicester to win the league but you can't just tippex over it. Most players who've dived over the last few years have rightly been hounded for it

It's weird though cause when I actually watched I thought it was a stretch to call it a dive. And my Dad who hates the way football is these days and thinks everything is a dive said to me how on earth is that a dive?
Has he looked to gain a penalty? Yes. Is it a foul? No. But is it a dive? Not for me.

looking to gain a penalty when the contact isn't there is simulation, good decision to book him and I hope the FA ban him for longer after his rant at the ref after.

So when a defender has the ball in the corner like we see every single game and he stops to encourage the contact is that simulation? There was contact hence why he went down he didn't throw himself to the ground, their legs got tangled. That would make every time a player stops which causes a player to barge into the back of them simulation.
People have said it's similar to Pires but not really because Pires stuck his leg out and kicked the opponent, Vardy just moved his legs across and the defender ran into them and caused a tangle. Don't see how it's a dive.

Yeah, I know, but that's because we're getting better. Other than Dortmund - who are the best we've played by a mile (we beat them 4-3 btw) - I thought Spurs were the best team we've played this season. And that (apart from Dortmund again) was the match of the highest quality we've been involved in.

Definitely a dive. It wasn't even clever from Vardy, he could've ran across the defender and guaranteed contact. As it was he swung a leg around and got a solid 7.8 from me
I really love Ranieri so want Leicester to do it but any time I've watched Spurs I've been really impressed with their football. Like Paul any time Kane scores I'm delighted for him and then remember it's Spurs. It'll be the same in the Euros - go Harry Kane! Aw fuckin England

Honestly last night they were on par with Villa. Obviously they're not like that all the time or they wouldn't be 9th. Never seen so many passes go out of play or straight to Spurs players. Spurs did exactly what they needed to and put them away. Here's a quote from a Stoke fan "I'm not one for knee jerk reactions but last night Fortress Britannia officially became Bouncy Castle Britannia. In last half dozen games the only worse back 4's l have seen this season have been Villa and Newcastle and going forward we are clueless. No movement for angled passes and wide men always receiving the ball with their backs to goal. Mr Hughes appeared to have no plan to cope with Tottenham's full backs and continues to have no idea who to play up top. We'll maybe pick up one more point in the remaining games. In an ideal world we'd offload 70% of the squad........ and bring in Warburton..... before things get bad. Just hope I'm wrong and we finish the season with a flourish but the smell of dry rot was certainty in the air last night." Fair enough I didn't watch it last night, just think Villa are honestly worse than that Derby team with the lowest points total. Plus I rate Spurs very highly so didn't think Stoke would be that bad to still get torn apart

Stoke were dire, came out of the gates in the second half quite well for about 10 minutes but for the other 80 they were only really there to get in the way and foul people

Vardy did something similar against Rafael when they beat United 5-3 last season, got the penalty there though and it changed the game. So happy enough for him to be caught out this time. I think people are giving the likes of Vardy an easier time this season which is understandable but I imagine they'll be a lot heavier scrutisined next season.

It's a stretch to call them the best team in the league but the best team I've seen us play this year both home and away has probably been West Ham. They have been dominant in both league games.
