Honestly last night they were on par with Villa. Obviously they're not like that all the time or they wouldn't be 9th. Never seen so many passes go out of play or straight to Spurs players. Spurs did exactly what they needed to and put them away. Here's a quote from a Stoke fan "I'm not one for knee jerk reactions but last night Fortress Britannia officially became Bouncy Castle Britannia. In last half dozen games the only worse back 4's l have seen this season have been Villa and Newcastle and going forward we are clueless. No movement for angled passes and wide men always receiving the ball with their backs to goal. Mr Hughes appeared to have no plan to cope with Tottenham's full backs and continues to have no idea who to play up top. We'll maybe pick up one more point in the remaining games. In an ideal world we'd offload 70% of the squad........ and bring in Warburton..... before things get bad. Just hope I'm wrong and we finish the season with a flourish but the smell of dry rot was certainty in the air last night." Surprisingly eloquent for someone with 6 fingers

So when a defender has the ball in the corner like we see every single game and he stops to encourage the contact is that simulation? There was contact hence why he went down he didn't throw himself to the ground, their legs got tangled. That would make every time a player stops which causes a player to barge into the back of them simulation. People have said it's similar to Pires but not really because Pires stuck his leg out and kicked the opponent, Vardy just moved his legs across and the defender ran into them and caused a tangle. Don't see how it's a dive. And then goes down easily, yes, 100%. I've ranted about this several times, I love it when it's not given, a defender shields the ball, feels a touch and throws himself down to win a cheap free kick. And it's nearly always given. Disagree with your latter bit though, Vardy didn't "just move his legs across and the defender ran into them", he threw himself into the air and wrapped his legs around the defender. The crux of it for me is, the contact wasn't enough to bring him down, thus, it was simulation and he was cheating. It's a minefield, and it really is just arguing the semantics between simulation and outright diving, but they're both cheating.

If Vardy had gone across the defender and got the touch that way, it would be a penalty. He didn't do that though, he kept running in a straight line and then threw himself into the air and legs into the defender who never changed his stride.
The thing in the corner annoys the fuck out of me every time, mainly because the attackers are thick enough to go charging into the back of them knowing full well they're going to drop under the slightest touch. Difference between that and Vardy is the contact is made by the bloke charging into the back of him. Nothing much, but they still go flying into the back of them anyway.
I hope for Vardy's sake he accepts the charge cos it'll be a 2 game ban instead of 3+.

I don't remember being so excited for Chelsea or City winning the league just cause a former player played for them.

I'm almost positive the ball was out of play in that corner twice early on too. Linesman might actually be blind.
