I keep forgetting we've got the best English striker to put in this team as well, I'm quietly optimistic about scoring a fuck ton this season. The problem then is making sure we don't concede 50 like we love to do.

Flanagan potentially going out on loan throws up some interesting options at right back. (if there is such a thing) Was shocked at first, but it kinda makes sense. No way is he challenging Clyne, so if he can go and get 20+ PL games under his belt after two years out, it will be of benefit to all.
I'd hope Connor Randall is nothing more than emergency cover, as I still don't think he's a pro footballer, so my backup right backs are Milner & Alexander-Arnold, who played right back last night and has gone on the tour.
I'm also hoping Wijnaldum can get some game time at CM next to Can at home against weaker opposition. Think that's an option that at least needs exploring.

He did but then he got fucked. He always had his frailties and when you're not scoring 100 goals in the season they tend to be looked at a bit more.

I've always been under the impression that Wijnaldum was a bit of a luxury player who's hard to control and wouldn't generally fit into a hard working team. Have I got that wrong?

I'd say so, yes. He has played a disciplined role for Holland, and less so, but still a hard working role in a 3 for PSV.

Flanagans above average, makes a crunching tackle and is deemed world class. Burnleys probably his level

Probably his finest moment as a Liverpool player. The crowd (and Henderson's) reaction was as good as a goal.

Aye the more I think about the Gini deal the more I think it could be an astute purchase by Liverpool. A lot of shit was septic at Newcastle last season and, as much as he wasn't exactly a shining light, I do think he could improve if there's more consistency around him. He did go missing as much as the rest of them last year but he's really going to have to play for his place now so this could prove to be the making of him. Cue a move to Palace or Roma for a big loss in a seasons time...
Reasonably chuffed we got £10m on him after one above average year and a relegation as we can get good replacements for a lot less than what we sold him for. Now just to palm off Moussa on to some unlucky cunt.
