Sorry lads. We've ruined the footie. We've apparently paid over £100m to correct arguably Fergie's biggest mistake according to reputable men in France.

everyone keeps telling me united are going to walk the league because of these big signings and this new dynamite manager like we didn't go through all of this two years ago

Uniteds spending in the last three seasons really is up there with Chelsea and City when their new owners first came in and they were accused of buying the league.

Is Pogba even that good? Haven't seen a lot of him. Plus, (football manager cap going on) with agent and signing on fees, won't that £100m quickly approach £110-120m? Dunno how that can be justified if the player isn't called Zidane.

I wouldn't even say Pogba is one of the ten best players in Europe right now.

Mourinho is the biggest chequebook manager in the history of football

He'll probably argue that playing £100m Pogba every game is evidence of him giving youth a chance while Rashford warms the bench all season before being loaned out.

France24 have said it's complete, dunno how reliable they are.
It'll be great if all this backfires. Everything that United built over three decades has been torn down in the last three years.

Uniteds spending in the last three seasons really is up there with Chelsea and City when their new owners first came in and they were accused of buying the league. Not quite the same as Chelsea. Chelsea are out on their own at the start of the Abramovich years, they spent 3 times the next team in the league for two or three seasons in a row when he came. Chelsea spent £150m in a different time, while United might spend the same this summer, you'll get other teams spending £100m as well at least. For example last season, despite United spending a ridiculous amount of money, Man City spent more. So there's a bit of a difference between say one team financial dominance in 'buying the league' and three teams spending the same amount and 'buying the league' say.

united are having to spend this obscene amount of money to justify their fans (understandable) belief that they should be competing with the best. it's why they've given £220k a week to a 34 year old striker, plus whatever absurd signing on fee he had, and it's why they've put raiola & mendes as effectively their directors of football
with these signings, mourinho won't get away with the "little horse" routine. having spent this amount of money and having signed these players, united should be challenging for the title, and i still don't think they will. a lot of people are expecting the name of manchester united to combine with the name of jose mourinho and become an unstoppable force, whilst ignoring that the world around them has changed. it's the most competitive the league has ever been, and both united and mourinho have taken major knocks over the past year.
maybe i'm wrong and it'll click, but at the moment i'd still be disappointed if we finished below them

Haha i love it when Utd fans still try to deny they're attempting to buy the league
£100m on 1 player. Someone who you released a few seasons ago. Its genuinely the most embarrassing transfer ever.
